making origional songs

I was wondering if anyone could direct me to some music mixers. well not really mixers but freeware or relatively inexpensive downloadble music (techno, dance) making software (not for mixing for making origional music). like drum machine, synthesizer and secuencer. links, direction, or anything. thanks
