OK, I'm guaranteed I will get bashed by someone by asking this question but I don't give a dam really.
Can someone explain to me what IIDX is? I hear about it all the time and I'm in DDR, does it include dancing or something change? And song lists are similar? Explain this to me someone as it looked interesting. |

IIDX, It's too cool!! Beatmania IIDX (Pronounced EYE EYE DEE ECKS) is a game where you slaughter oncoming alien rectangles with a trigger buttons and a spinning generator. Each rectangle is color coded in either White, Blue, or Red. According to their position on the screen, you must press a specific "Fire" button to eliminate the incoming rectangle. White rectangles are intercepted by, you guessed it, the white buttons. The Blue rectangles are intercepted by, you guessed it, the black buttons. Now you ask yourself, "What about the Red ones?" These rectangles are the special ones where you must manually propel the interception. This is done by turning the energy generator in one direction or the other thus firing the energy weapon at the rectangle and eliminating it. The concept of the game is pretty simple, eliminate those rectangles.
Eliminate those rectangles! "Thats easy!" a newcommer might say. This is where they are wrong. There are many twists to this game. Each alien rectangle contains a sound of death. Each rectangle has a different death noise according to what stage you're defending. I observed that this game suggests that aliens die in a very musical manner! They also like to attack in patterns. This is where the tricky part comes in. Sometimes, they attack in pairs, triplets, and more! You must position your fingers to eliminate all of them at once. This may include activating the energy generator. The scoring of this game is quite simple. The weapons you're using against the alien rectangles have a "sweet spot" where the weapon is most effective. If you should eliminate the reactangle at this "sweet spot," you earn even more points! Its that simple. You're also rated on how many you eliminate in a row and your overall elimination. You must eliminate at a rate of 80% to pass a stage.
Oh no! Another player distracted! Each stage is different. These aliens are quite music-savy and have their choices in genres. These include Cuddlecore (sounds erotic!), Girl Rock (sounds erotic!), Fake Jazz (sounds phony!), and others! You have your own video respected to the stage you're playing to distract you. Some tactics include sex appeal, pedophilia, and strange slogans/concepts. One must learn to ignore this distraction to master the game. Done with the game already? Not quite! Theres Doubles mode where the aliens decided to blitz your stage. You must take on a total of 16 rectangle landing spots and defend them. Its quite the task but nevertheless, fun.
This game is unique. No other game has incorporated the concept of aliens attacking and the concept of YOU defending. This is probably why this game is popular. Nothing can be addicting as defending your turf from rectangles and listening to them die in a melodic death.

That up there is the best thing I've ever read.
I was playing a song where the tempo changed, and I was failing because of it. Then the video started showing girls, and I was like 'and now it's showing me cute girls! How am I supposed to pass this?!'.
Then there's Last Message. :o
And the Mobo*Moga lesbians don't help.
