I've been playing Stepmania (CVS) on a CG pad recently, and I've been annoyed with SM's judgement difficulty settings. If I set it to 5, the perfect window is too large, but it seems like there is a good distance between a Great and a Good. If I set it to 6, the perfect window seems almost the size of the arcade, but's too hard not to get Goods. If I set it to 7 or higher it's just way too hard. Is there any way I can customize the judgement difficulty so the distance between a Perfect and a Great is slightly harder than the arcade, but the distance between a Great and a Good is about equal to the arcade? |

if you open up one of the log files (i'm not at my comp and don't have it handy), it *may* have the millisecond values for each kind of step..so you can go in and mod that as you please..i know on the oregon board we had a sm competition with supremely modded windows (it was nasty timing..the windows were super small..and the song was xenon ) _________________

open up stepmania.ini, find and replace the following things:
Quote: |
JudgeWindowBooSeconds=0.000400
JudgeWindowGoodSeconds=0.000300
JudgeWindowGreatSeconds=0.090000
JudgeWindowMarvelousSeconds=0.000100
JudgeWindowOKSeconds=0.250000
JudgeWindowPerfectSeconds=0.000200
JudgeWindowScale=1.000000
|

What settings would make it most accurate to Extreme? |
