Simulator on Windows 95??

my regular computer shuts down when i use any program, so i wanna play ddr on an old laptop, but it only has 95.

and direct x 8.1 is needed to play stepmania, but Win 95 can only have direct x 8.0!!!

Is there any program that can function on direct X 8?? and not 8.1?

i really wanna just play ddr, so please help someone! plllllease....
