Do you think Marvelouses suck? I think that Marvelouses are pointless. I mean, if you get a Perfect, how can something be better than perfect? Who else thinks Marvelouses suck?

Yeah the "how can you be better than perfect?" has been ripped apart a thousand times, keep in mind its JUST AN ADJECTIVE.

I like marvs though. It adds a lot to the game. I hope they put marvs in regular game mode if 9th mix ever rolls around. And people, don't turn this into ANOTHER "OMG IS 9TH MIX GOING TO COME OUT?!" thread, im jsut saying IF.

i think marvelouses are great. when i played onis on older mixes, i would always think to myself, "please dont get a great, please dont get a great, please dont get a great,..." but now since there are marvelouses, i say to myself, dont get a perfect. so when i do get a perfect that ruins my marvelous streak, i dont have to worry too much because your combo continues anyway.

if you've been playing long enough, you can tell the difference between a perfect and a marvelous. there is a noticable difference, especially in extreme. the perfect window is actually pretty big, and you can be a tiny bit off and still get a perfect. marvelouses correct that by making a much more strict timing code. anyway, i really hope the next one has it in normal mode too, it really helps me stay on beat. once i see perfects, i know im a little off, and i can correct it before getting a great. however, with just perfects, by the time you realize you're off, you've probably already got a great.

but "perfects" arent perfect. there is a difference between being perfectly on-beat and getting a perfect. you can still get a perfect, even if you are a tiny bit off, as long as you arent off enough to get a great. the word used is relitively meaningless, whether its "perfect" or "marvelous" or "super amazing." "perfects" arent perfect enough to show real timing skills, and so marvelous was introduced. and blah blah etc etc

I like Marvelouses. They are good for helping me stay (somewhat) on beat. I just wouldn't want them in tournaments.

Count me in!

I like the "more perfecter" steps. Like cfusion said, it makes it easier to not get greats.

I dont find anything wrong with Marvelous Steps. What so ever, it's truly a test of you PA skills. I agree with CFusion that the perfect window is suprisingly big....getting a marvelous is like a just frame in Tekken...exact moment. Exact time.
