Ok, I posted this in the official help forum and it didn't get answered so I wanted a more direct approach. I am using the newest CVS of Stepmania and I have a few questions and I'd greatly appreciate answers.

1. How do I change the names of the High Score rankings. I always see "Type A" through "Type D" and it doesn't specify what each is. I want to rename them. How do I do this?

2. The theme packs for SM don't work. They show up and when I switch to them the only thing that works is the background for the menus and nothing else.

Any answers would be greatly appreciated again thx a lot.

Am I right in assuming that no one else knows how to fix this? Is anybody else experiencing this problem?

1) If that's editable at all, it's part of some obscure theme metric somewhere. The type designations are from 5th mix, and are (in order) 1-3 feet avg., 4-6 feet avg., 7-9 feet avg., 10+ feet avg., all numbers rounding down. Of course, 5th mix had foot markers to show what the relative difficulties were.

2) Odds are you're using 3.0f themes with the current CVS builds. Don't do that.

You can't mix CVS themes with 3.0 Final themes... Heck you can't even mix old CVS themes with new CVS versions... Keep the theme you like or want with its version.

Ok, you guys were right, I was using 3.0 final themes. But the surprising thing is I can use Announcer packs just fine. And I found out there's no way of me knowing how to change the high score types. Ok here's some more q's.

1. How does the Unlock System work? How do you make one?

2. Ditto on Hidden Stages.

Code:
Unlockable is implemented
you will want to turn it on and edit your /data/unlocks.dat

Example:

[DP]4000|Paranoia Survivor Max

get 4000 dancepoints to unlock PSM
Provided unlocks is on.
It's based on the #TITLE tag in the DWI/SM/whatever and not the folder/filename.
Theres apparently other ways to do it, but I dunno.

-------------------------------------------

I believe it's case sensitive too.

[DP]4000|Paranoia Survivor Max

So if your title is PARANOIA Survivor Max it won't work unless it's like this in your dat file;

[DP]4000|PARANOIA Survivor Max

----------------------------------------------

no there is no unlock screen telling how many points you have, you have to check your Data\Stepmania.ini file.
