|
|
I'm about to order IIDX 6th Style NSC and a IIDX Controller and I'm wondering if a Slidecard (http://www.mod-chip.com/slidecard.htm) would let me use the game on my US PS2. And if the Slidecard wouldn't work, are there any other methods of playing import games on my PS2 without modding it or buying a JPS2? |

It might, there's no way of knowing (unless someone here has used that particular product and can vouch for it with that game). There is also the flip-top cover and swap magic discs combo.
I don't see what the big hub-bub is about regarding modding your ps2 though, it's only a few bucks more expensive for a better way to play, and it increases the resale value of your ps2. _________________

According to the site, the Slidecard should have no trouble playing 6th Style. |

it would work with swap magic, but it is the same as the knife trick, i used to do this with a paper clip for ddrmax-j, it works but it kills ur ps2. it forces the lens to go down and after a while its going to stay like that, after i did that for a while i got my ps2 modded and now i have to try like 10 times to get a game working so i wouldn't recommend getting that, get a flip top, that is alot safer _________________

probably, first tyme i saw the slide card i said to myself "that doesn't look safe at all"
yes get a flip top cover ( OH I HAVE ONE! )
it's not that hard to install and it's a lot safer to use. _________________
