Sound Prob. with Stepmania CVS

So I just DL Stepmania CVS. It runs well and all, but if I change the song's sound rate, there is a "buzzing, humming" sound in the background. I never had this problem w/ version 3.0.

What is the deal?

The sound code was rewritten from scratch after 3.0f, for multiple reasons (to make the codebase more portable, and to improve synching accuracy and fault tolerance).

Unfortunately, the old resampling code had to be scrapped and a fairly simple replacement was written. The buzzing and humming is an expected result from this code. So unless you have some cross-platform resampling code that'll run in real-time that you would like to share with the SM team, it's going to stay all tinny. :\
