It turns out that they have changed their ware houses and they took some products down until they complete the transfer. _________________

Ah, well that's a relief. I'm in the market for a metal pad and I'm on pg 12 of the AB pad.
(looks like there's a competition between these CF and RO, but I'm a noob, so I'm the only one who doesn't know) |

Well if your up for sensitivity go with CF. If you want to go with arcade feel. Get after burner. The CF is a all flat surface so you don't really know if you are pressing the right arrow or not. the AB has the arrows pushed down like the arcade so you know were your feet are going. CFs are really sensitive but sometimes they are TOO sensitive. AB needs some work though and CF is a doggy to open if you need to do some fixing up. AB, take out the screws and your in.. CF a bit harder. ^^ _________________

So....the AB is not sensitive enough? (haven't seen that so far in the AB thread)
I'm all for easy maintenence and arcade feel, but I do like to be able to step with the rhythm .
(not miliseconds earlier to let the pad catch up, as that ruins the entire rhythm feel of the game for me...)
I guess I'll read more of this AB thread to find out its durability (also, can I get a quick link to this CF pad? I have no idea which one people are talking about)
Thanks for the details, though! |

dancingtofu.org if the site isn't still down you should be able to find the projects that are linked there. there are guides on how to make a pad and a control box. _________________

I already saw those same projects in these forums, but this GIGANAUT things has me intrigued.
There's no pictures as far as I can see (unless I missed the name) but they are pads you can buy? Also, it said there's no control box then. Is it there now?
I figure it'd be good to build my own but it'd also be nice to buy a working homemade one just incase I screw up the one I will be making. (always good to have a backup, I guess)
I am not interested in Mass produced as they don't really seem to last or feel like an arcade pad. I figure buying a handmade one is the way to go, regardless of the price (as long as it's reasonable, lol)
Should I email them asking for details or do you guys already know? |

Dancingtofu.org He does orders and he's very flexible and knows what he is downing and he does some awesome shiz... Yes I meant to say shiz.... but yeah he can do DDR pads DDR pads with PIU arrows on it, or a flip side. DDR on one side and PIU if you flip the pad over. Also, best to buy a control box at CobaltFlux.com _________________

Hm, sounds good. I'll have to see what he has to offer. (I only need a DDR pad that feels like the arcade, registers perfectly, and is durable.)
Alright, ty very much for your help on the matter!
And sorry we got way off topic. |

No problem. His pads are very durable. He makes them from the strong stuff, not the cheap wood that commercial companies make. _________________
