the beginning

Hi guys. I just got In The Groove for PS2 a couple of days ago and I'm having a hard time trying to pass the beginning by DJ doo, mostly the run that's about 90% into the song with all the crossovers is giving me lots of trouble. I wanted to ask if you think it's better to stay in cross-over position the whole time, or to keep switching between doublestep and crossover. If any1 has a video of their footwork that would be great, cuz this one's getting to me.

Also i wanted to ask if DJ party shows up on this game. If it does, i haven't unlocked it yet. Thx!

You want to do the crossovers. It will help you later on with more difficult stuff. I'm not sure about croosover footwork in a video, but this guy is pretty much the king at crossovers (guy on left). Although, unless you have a blueshark, you won't really be able to flatfoot stuff without your pad giving you crap. Oh, and I'm not sure if you use a bar or not, but if you do, note how he holds the bar on crossovers too.

just wondering. Anyways this is great vid. I'd love to meet all these guys in real life, like Cali, Dave, etc. The only person ive ever meet was cory. Even that was awhile ago.

BTW: i wouldn't call myself new. It did take me awhile to figure out all the famous simfiles, most of the people etc. The vary first time i watched stuff like this was like a yr ago. I watched evildave do OWA on his homepad. Back then i didn't know what ITG was. I got interested, watched the vids, and eventually found out about stepmania. The only thing that still confuese me is this Arch0wl person. What is he famous for?

Ya, I only found out about ITG about a year ago as well. I always got bored with DDR every once in a while, and I would have to take long breaks, but with ITG I can play constantly because it's so much better. As for archowl, I'm not really sure. I guess he is most known for stepping files? If you are referring to the archowl documentary thing, they keep saying arch arch arch because that's from one of his songs that he stepped.

I said the Arch0wl thing as a joke actually. He's known for doing the 1.5 quasar thing AAA. He's like an outcast in the community because his GF realeased a video of him touching himself on the internet. Devon probably knows more than i do....

Oh, I didn't pick up on the sarcasm. But I don't really know the people all that well. I just see them post on ITGfreak, and there aren't too many that post there anymore anyways.

And I'm not sure what you are looking for as far as footwork goes. Here's a video, but like I said before, it won't really help you because you can't play flatfooted on a home pad.
