I have this http://www.ddrgame.com/dadareddrtom.html?gclid=CJH11KeC_ZQCFQNfFQodAWqhqA tournament pad and the right arrow sometimes doesn't respond or delays. I know that the problem is the sensor and not the arrow because i tried switching the arrows around. Can anyone tell how i could fix this.

Not if you don't open it up and tell us which wire's detached.

DDRGame has become one of the sketchiest sites on the internet; I'm sorry you made the mistake of dealing with them.

Take the panel off (if the LED's work, take it off gently, or they won't work for long), look at the copper plate on the bottom, and check if either of the wires are detached; if so, reattach them; you really should solder them, but if you can't/are too lazy to, duct tape works just fine. If both wires are detached, look at the cheap aluminum on the bottom of the panel. Is it ripped, peeling, and unattractive? YES IT IS! Replace it with 4 dimes or pennies or a sheet of 30ga-26ga steel; simply pull it off and glue the pennies or the steel on there. instead

Hi DDRichard

How long ago did you buy the pad from DDRGame? I just read their return policy - http://www.ddrgame.com/returnpolicy.html and it looks like you have a 30 day window to RMA. There is one small catch ... ANY returns for refunding are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Also must have original invoice and original box/packaging. Get this, there's a $35 re-boxing fee for products returned in a damaged box. Like UPS or Fedex isn't going to mess up a box? And of course you have to pay to ship it back to them. Not sure if that 20% restocking or $35 re-boxing fee applies to replacement. No matter what, the customer is really getting screwed over by these folks. Their stuff is way too expensive for what it is, they have a draconian return policy and find every way possible to bleed even more money out of you.

That pad sure looks like a TX-1000 which is definitely NOT a $200 pad, not from everything I've heard and read. And DDRGame is not a company I'd deal with, I've read enough reviews of their products to know to stay clear.

I'd rather chance one of the $70 +s/h for a 1000 from fleabay, cause it seems no matter who you buy something from, the CS/RMA/return policies are just about all crappy.

Here's a TX-1000 I just found on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/2x-ARCADE-DANCE-REVOLUTION-METAL-STEEL-DDR-PAD-FITS-PS2_W0QQitemZ150278842902QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item150278842902&_trkparms=72%3A1075%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14.l1318

$159 + $29 s/h, 14 day money back return (you pay shipping back) - oh and that's for TWO of them. That seller is Cyphergames btw. I know, they don't have a great rep either but I ordered a foam pad from this guy and my CC charge came up as Cypher.

Is this the piece of copper you are talking about

because if it is, I will have to detach the two wires. Do you want me two solder the wires to the pennies or dimes?

Nevermind, I realized that one of the wires was sort of lose and I couldn't find my soldering gun so I sheared the plastic off the wire and rapped the metal wire around a piece of tin foil then taped the tin foil to the pad and it worked perfectly.
