As the title suggests, I have a Cobalt Flux, which works wonderfully, but has an annoying problem: it just loves sticking to the bottoms of my shoes. I guess friction is the problem? I have cleaned the pads many times to no avail, and somehow do not stick to arcade pads. Why the crap am I sticking to the lexan so bad? Anybody have any solutions?
Oh I suppose I should mention that I have tried what was essentially chalk powder out of desperation and it worked for about half a song. Anything oily or wet at all would be a definite no, as it would get on my shoes and make hell of a mess. This is not helped by our having carpet.
Anyway, if anybody (especially Cobalt Flux owners who had and overcame this problem) have any solutions, I would be very grateful. Thanks!
Edit: I think I could very well be stupid and this belongs in the Cobalt Flux thread! Sorry guyse :< Delete/lock as you see fit. _________________

I would suggest trying a different pair of shoes.
It seems that possibly your shoe treads are acting like suction cups on the smooth lexan surface of the Cobalt Flux.
I have 3 CF pads and have never had this problem.
I hope this helps! |

I will assume you are asking why I have 3 CF pads.
Well, to be honest, I got a heck of a deal on them, and may still end up selling one of them, since I can't really play 'triples'.
One of them had a bad control box, so I had originally thought to keep it for parts, but I got another control box, so it is now working perfectly. |
