Stepmania 3.9, overriding song colours?

Stepmania 3.9 automatically assigns a red font colour to Expert 10's. Is it possible to override this and re-assign colours? Furthermore, is it possible to take other, non-Expert 10's, and toy with their colours?

I've looked into various .sm and .dwi files but I've never seen a clause to change the colour like this.

In the metrics.ini for the theme, you can change the red to another color and/or change what difficulty it changes at (at least I think you can change that), but you can't, for example, make 5s blue, 6s orange, 7s green, etc.
