Trouble with my homemade pad :(

well its sort of homemade i took my friends old afterburner after it was broken and i sort of refurbished using a different controll box from my other friends TX-1000 and using brand new wiring and it worked for awhile then now the pad's right arrow seems to hit twice kinda like shorting out i guess and everytime a mine comes to the right arrow it automatically hits it ive checked out the wiring to see if anything might of come loose and if i tightened the bolts too tight but that doesnt seem to be the problem any help please it would be greatly appreciated

I'm not an expert, but I'de try loostening the screws and see if that helps.
