I can do almost every other type of step, but three types cause me a lot of trouble...
Spin Gallops from Hillbilly Hardcore. How do you do these?
Step-Jumps in Charlene Expert - Yeah, these are hard. Any tips for doing these easily?
Triplets on same beat in Charlene Expert (left down left, left down left, etc). What are easy ways to do this if there are mines like in charlene...
Thanks in advance! _________________

1) I guess you could spin them, or use a technique so your foot goes around your other foot (not spinning, but still alternating feet)... sometimes I do this for dumb freeze spins.
2) Try not to jump so high, and minimalize movement. In some sections, you should probably jump in a crossover position as well.
3) Practice, I guess. I swear I can never hit the mines, they're way too easy to avoid. And I wouldn't call them "triplets". _________________

I can only help you for Spin Gallops.
Double step them.
Let's just use the example that the Gallops go U, U, R, R, D, D, L, L.
Now what you do is play around the brackets as I like to call it.
I'll make a litle chart corresponding with the step order I made.
Up- Right Foot
Up- Right Foot
Right - Right Foot (This is one of the trickiest manuvers but just use a snapping technique.
Right- Right Foot
Down- Left Foot
Down- Left Foot
Left- Left Foot (Again using the snapping technique)
Left- Left Foot
It's a really weird snapping technique, just getting your foot there really fast. I use this technique on Spaceman too. |

As for the triples in Charlene, one way to make it easier to avoid the mines is to tap another random arrow that the mine is not on. For example, for L,D,L,_,L,D,L (where _ is the break with the mine), tap L,D,L,U,L,D,L. By tapping on the Up arrow, you will be able to easily hop over the mine. Hope this helps. _________________

Holy crap no. That sounds impossible. What is a LOT easier and will still make you get through the section with an FC and still make you able to PA is this method.
Ok, let's take the example from FTG_ZMatrix to save time. Your feet should do this instead.
Up- Left Foot
Up- Left Foot
Right - Right Foot
Right- Right Foot
Down- Left Foot
Down- Right Foot
Left- Left Foot
Left- Left Foot
If you notice, there is only one section that seems odd, and that is the foot switch on the down arrow. Simply switch feet in air and shift you body position slightly so that your left is ready to hit the left arrow. I never spin during gallops.......except Wake Up Where it is actually easier to do so that way. _________________

I personally like to use the center panel for avoiding mines - might as well not add the unnecessary candles to the song.
Then again, I haven't passed it yet, simply because I usually run out of stamina by the time I get through the runs in the middle verse. Sigh. _________________

For charlene, I don't even lift my foot off of the down arrow. I just shift my weight to my other leg and the mine doesn't trigger.
As for the step jump section, I just relax and concentrate. This is actually the tactic I use for any step jump section in any song (especially hardcore symphony).
But then again, I've only played charlene like 3 times (it's an annoying song). I've never had any real trouble with it. |

For spin gallops, actually spin, double step, or use shuffle (I forget what it is called in ITG, I think random) to make it not spin.
Can't help you with step jumps, I guess just don't jump too high.
For the third one (which is actually 16th notes, not triplets), I think I just push myself up a little bit on the third note so I'm in the air during the mines. |
