Louie826 has directed us to this page detailing forthcoming location testing for GF/DM V2. He also mentions that Pop'n Music 13 Carnival is now released to arcades in Japan. Thanks for the news, Louie! _________________

Woah.
That's some crazy machines right there.
Lots of stuff.
Anyway, V2...
Does this mean there is a format change, like bm to IIDX? _________________

There was a hardware change when V came out. Instead of running on a modified PS1, it now runs on a modified PS2.
Other than that, there's no "BM -> IIDX" format changes.

I don't think PnM 13 was released yet. Wouldn't there be a songlist available on the official site whenever the game is released? |

No, you couldn't in Theleroy Jenkins run the games on a PS2. *Cannot*.

Swwweeeeeeet! PLEEEAAASSSEEEE Come to the US!! Let's see what songs they'll have!
YES! CLASSIC PARTY!! Seems diff. will be out of 100. It'll also have the song Endless Cruising. It'll be interesting to see what new Konami songs will be in GF/DM. Seems best score is SS. & yet again, there'll be wierd backgrounds....Man, GF is one of my"Most Wanted" Games EVER!! (It's the origin of Across the Nightmare & Jet World, 2 of my fav. songs!!!)

Wow, most of you people don't know much about GF.
This won't come to the USA.
Difficulty has been out of 99 for a longass time now, at least since 6th mix.
Endless Cruising was on V.
Anyway...
The SS rank is COMPLETELY wrong. An SS means you cannot get anything lower than a good on a song. On those screens, people still have goods....they sure as hell had better change that since it'd be mad stupid if you could SS while getting goods.
The new interface looks really cool, although no new songs seem to be listed yet. Needless to say, I'm really going to be looking forward to this! V was such an excellent mix and I expect great things from this one! _________________

For the reccord, system 573 (old GFDM hardware) is NOT a modified PS1. It is a computer running with some PS1 chips.
GF/DMV's system is an ACTUAL consumer PS2 with a jamma and different interface. Everything runs off of a HD. _________________

Apparently and apparently. (In that order.) Even if we ever did get GF/DM we'd probably 'resume' with GF2/DM1 and it would it would have to be a crazy mix of everything we 'missed' like DDR MAX and Beatmania.

^^^ everything you need to know about Bemani hardware. (And a picture of the consumer PS2 in the GF/DM V machine. It's kind of funny that PNM, Guitardora, and IIDX all run on different hardware. Wouldn't that make development and maintenance harder? All three games should have the same requirements.) |

Uhh, I think most of the people here have known that since there hasn't been a US GF Mix since '99.

Go earlier.
Day Dream, officially a 99 in GF5/DM4. _________________

Yea, but the person before me was hoping it would come to the US or something. Wishful thinking, but there's an arcade somewhat near me that upgrades their GF when new mixes come out so I'll be happy regardless.
I never actually played 5th, jumped straight from 4th to 6th (although the ratings in 6th were completely screwed up). DD definitely deserves that rating too.
On another note, I'm using my psychic powers and predict a new BeForU, Asaki, and TERRA song.
I'm also guessing that DZF will be one of the extra stages now. _________________

I think at this point, they just mean they hope their arcade gets it rather than the latter.
If I said that, I'd mean that I hope Konami isn't doing the same thing for V2 kits as they did with Pop 'n 13/Carnival, DDR 7th Mix, and IIDX Happy Sky. _________________

Seeing that consumer PS2 in the machine kinda makes me wish that Konami would...well...you know...
ACTUALLY MAKE A HOME VERSION OF DRUMMANIA AGAIN
Sorry, it just had to be said. _________________
