|
|
Roxor has picked the top 23 fan submitted edits and made them available for download. You can find a list of edits, authors, and their ratings on Roxor's Forum in the edit pack thread. Congratulations to all of our users who had their edits included.
Some notes about the edits...
These edits are currently Arcade only.
22 of them are ITG1 songs and will work on ITG1 and ITG2 arcade units, a single "Incognito" edit is ITG2 Only.
Download the pack and place all the .edit files into either your In the Groove/Edits or In The Groove 2/Edits folder.
Roxor has stated that they will release these edits in a format suitable for the Playstation 2 at a later date. _________________

It looked like they were stepfiles in SM format, so if you can read it, you can put it in manually to a PS2.
Or just use them directly with StepMania. :) |

Or just use them directly with StepMania. | They're trimmed out SM files. .edit files are essentially a stripped down version of a .sm file. (Since it can only have one difficulty, etc.)
Yes, if your SM is arranged the same was as the arcade, you can drop them in the Edits folder. _________________

If you have simfiles of the appropriate songs, just place the .edit files in your Data/MachineProfile/Edits directory. It'll read them and they'll pop up for the corresponding songs.
I'm glad some of my edits popped up in here. Maybe that means my dream of making steps for a future ITG is closer to coming true! _________________

How the hell did that Delirium edit get into the Edit pack?! DukAmok's Delirium Challenge steps look positively intellectual compared to that :\ |

Put them in your "C:/Stepmania/Data/Machine Profile/Edits" folder. _________________

The guy who sent me the E-mail about it wrote: | We are contacting you regarding your interest in a project that we here at RedOctane are putting together for In The Groove PlayStation 2. Your SM SIM files for ITG songs have caught our attention and we would like to put together a memory card pack of user edits. We would like your permission to use your edit and to recreate the PlayStation 2 edit for download.
At this time we are specifically interested in the edit named "Loogphoria"
for the ITG song called "Euphoria". |
They were the ones who said they wanted it. _________________

Loogaroo, the keyword there was "Playstation2".
Anyway, I really enjoy the Disconnected edit! I cant wait to use it in the arcade tomorrow. _________________

I'm somewhat surprised they didn't use WTRS, since it's a 7, and as of right now the easiest edit is an 8. _________________

Oh man, Aoi-Chan loaded the edits (supplied by me) onto the ITG2, and a LOT of people where confused when they saw the sixth difficulty. Im looking forward to more edits supplied by Roxor. _________________

The Delirium freezes and double taps are awesome.
THAT RHYTHMIC EDIT KICKS buttocks!
Especially that Freeze+downdowndowndowndowndown part in the middle.
I love whoever made that. _________________

i really just don't like that delirium edit, but i love the lemmings, vertex, why me, disconnected, dawn, tough enough, I did like the WTRS one, but the purple-i-think-i-like-that-sound type of steps got a little old after the 50th one |

*whew* Here we go:
Pharaoh Jeff (Anubis) by eVILPeeR: I thought this one was excellent. It was just as hard to me as Anubis Expert without the 'tarded alternating/repeating/whatever sequences.
Zanneth Edit (Dawn) by Zanneth: This one was fun. It was quite a bit like the official Expert steps-- a little TOO much, if you will, except there weren't hands in the usual spots. However, you DO get BONUS points for pulling a Infection and Xuxa Expert! (spelling stuff with mines)
Hey Hey Hey! (Delirium) by WinDEU: Perfect. Or should I say, Fantastic! *gets lynched* Ahem... this one DEFINITELY earns 13-bar status. Never-ending^1 16th runs coupled with hands and a deceivingly easy beginning, this edit almost makes me wish THESE were the official Expert steps. Keyword: Almost.
^1 (I wish it were an) Exaggeration
Shorty's (Disconnected) by shortysnmn2012: Very basic, but followed the music particularly well. Nice job.
Rhythmic (While Tha Rekkid Spinz) by WinDEU: Rhythmic is right. Pretty much flawless (or nearly flawless) steps that match perfectly with the rhythm (duh). Again, I wonder why THESE weren't the official Expert steps? _________________
