I know that this questions might have been answered already but here they go...
#1) What about the ITG games that are already out in the arcades?
#2) Does this mean that all property pretaining to Roxar/ITG is now property of Konami?
#2) Will there still be releaseing future ITG games? |

They stay?

No, RoXoR just can't sell any more cabinets.

No, or at least there's a very low chance. |

This is old news; ITG is owned by konami and has been buried, yet I have just recently looked at iDance and it runs off of a VERY similar konami - esque engine and uses most to all ITG songs and artists.
iDance has only one innovation i can think of: 32 player simultaneous play. Impressive, but what will konami think of this?
Can ANYONE shed light on this matter? |
Sorry for the little bump......
Positive Gaming is essentially the RoXoR of Europe because it takes the ITG game and advertised it as a fitness program. Things like multiplayer gameplay are widely used because no one is gonna loose pounds of fat waiting for their turn to play in schools, fitness areas, etc. You have to understand that most people in Europe are liking this idea and want to play it. There are alot of people who have never heard of this game "genre" in Europe. They're pushing for innovative gaming ideas. Dancing games is Positive Gaming's biggest focus because its so successful. It got the best ITG stepchart artist ever. Chris FOY!!!
Correct me if im wrong but i believe a couple countries in Europe have banned games rated "M" from being bought on store shelves.
AS far as concerns for possible law suits in Europe about DDR is totally out of my window. I don't know any laws in European countries or in the EU regarding inventions.(If they have the same patent/invention laws) Europe might be the haven to dancing game innovation since there are about 18-20 countries that support the hub of Europe's population. A single company like Konami would have to spend ALOT in courts to get their game under a patent in those countries just to monopolize their game. To the people living in Europe there's hope but here in the States. It's gonna be Armageddon before anyone can pool enough money to fight for new laws in the gaming world. So RoXoR's case with Konami can cease to exist.
A little bit added at the end, but i figured to put it in if anyone had questions after reading my answer to his question. [/u] |

You forget with the standardization the EU brought you don't have to go to court in each member country, just in ONE country and the rest are compelled to follow suit. _________________
