Both of those are real words. _________________

Well, I looked up mine before I posted to make sure I would have invented it, and it wasn't there, so...uh...huh.
However, I believe I have coined "heritagism" and "post-hoc-ergo-propter-hoc-ness". _________________

Get a better dictionary. Both words are in Webster's Unabridged Dictionary.
Edit: WTF, apparently "sarcasticalness" is a word too. _________________

Whatever happened to the good old days, when you could say something isn't a word because it's not in the dictionary and not get told your dictionary is wrong?
...
So, uh, back to the topic...
Hmm...is it Konami who would potentially get sued were someone to use a copyrighted song on an ItG machine? _________________

And eventually they'll get bored and stop playing too. With no new versions coming out, 137 songs will wear out their welcome more quickly than the 250 some-odd songs that Extreme had.

I'd say the silence is pretty deafening at this point. The settlement was two months ago and still no word. I'll bet they're just waiting for the whole matter to fade away. _________________

Probably. Not too bad of an idea actually. _________________

Yeah, that's true, but there's still the R21 patch. Put on songs from DDR, Stepmania, etc. I gaurentee you'll find more than 250 songs to choose from.

I hate to say it, but you're probably right. People were going crazy on the Konami forums demanding an answer, and Konami Staff makes ONE post saying; "No decision has been made." |

As novel as the R21 patch was, its limited capabilities (no backgrounds, no animations, no sample music, .ogg only, 2 minute limit) has made it aesthetically unpleasing to use. On top of that, I haven't seen any attempts to put together a foundation of competition-caliber songs that the playing community has widely embraced, so its value in a tournament is minimal at best. _________________

There wouldn't be any way RoXor could make a new patch, so I guess you're right. :\ |

I think there's a program to change the declared length of .ogg files, and people have been using it to play whatever they want.

AA Bob>>>What exactly are they doing in the "What do you want for Singles?" thread? Are they making an ITG 3, or what? |

I need to install it, though. Backgrounds? Pshaw! The no sample music thing, though. That's a real tragedy; we can't possibly function without it.[/sarcasm] The lack of banners is a little annoying, too.

What if they were obtained illegally? If Konami were liable for that, I think we all know how to piss Konami off for this. _________________

BTW, it's RBCF, not RCBF. _________________

Fixed.
I don't know. Yeah, they aren't stored in the machine, but the tokens are still being dropped in the slots, netting money for arcades and, perhaps, Konami. _________________

The only money Konami would make off In The Groove would come from the sale of any arcade machines, which isn't happening, so no, Konami isn't liable for anything that's happening with R21. Any legal issues lie with the users essentially, and even then, who cares? I doubt any actual complaints will surface from anything done with R21. _________________

Yeah, it figures. I think I was just idiotically rambling, since I realize that I already knew that. I've read so many threads, you'd think I wouldn't be being so moronic. Eh, I'm tired. _________________

Wonder if someone who worked at roxor and knows the code for the machine and makes a new upgrade... r31!! and can have any song you want, bg, banners, sample musik. Or if someone has 133t hacking and knows how to code an itg2 machine then that would be pure awesome to the maxX attaxX while playing saxX on the beach with your friend maxX who knows some mad haxX then has to pay taxX on the snaxX at the store called macCs. yeah I am done.

Was it really worth the bump?
In answer to your wondering, there are always haxxored machines.
EDIT: Haha, this is an announcement. So there was no bump. Oops. _________________
