http://www.ddrstyling.it is not down. Half of it's written in Italian, but it has lots of (English) DWIs. Look under "Downloads."

Well, we've had a lot of issues lately and it looks like things might be going soon. When bemanisims.com does come back it will be much differnet.

I still don't and never will understand the point of this rule. If you don't get a DWI matched to a specific MP3 rip it's going to be off almost 100% of the time. Frankly an unmatched DWI is pretty much useless, due to the serious adjustment needed to even get it synced.
This all seems like sort of a silly double standard because if you don't want people using simulators why even have this forum or link to DWIs? 
But, it's your site so you guys make the rules. So be it... |

The law is for directly linking and/or downloading to mp3 files. Getting around this law, we say they are bundled in a package. That's why we can't directly deal with mp3, but we can deal with .zip's with full DWIs in them.

Some advice... don't. They don't have all sync'd files, some have the wrong/bad (PSM or PS, I can't remember, had a lousy digital camera picture of it that was zoomed in liek what, Twin Bee has a MS Paint generated picture, etc.) some files are mixed up with one another, etc. etc.
I am just gonna wait.

Back in December of 2002 I really started to play DWI a lot. I was mainly playing the Official steps to the songs and I had a few Original steps. The Official steps started getting boring so I began looking for more Original steps. I found some stuff over at DDRManiax but not a lot. It seemed like all the Original steps were spread out over thousands of personal web sites which made it really hard to find good stuff (not that bemanisims made it easier, really). It was too much of a hassle to jump from site to site with all there banner ads to find one DWI.
With over 2000 simfiles and registered users, bemanisims.com became the largest web site on the internet to get sims, that was until June 12th. On June 12th the server crashed and basically I lost EVERYTHING on all of my sites. All the simfiles are gone as well as 30gb+ of other stuff. I am still working on recovering from a lot of lost data and hopefully everything will be back sometime soon.
Bemanisims.com will be back. As of now we are going to merge bemanisims.com and bemanistyle.com. It is kind of pointless to have two sites when we can have one big site, since me and DJ Paranoia work together on both of the sites anyway. Bemanisims will have a different look and feel to it of course, and it will have a lot more features. I am going to work on a real voting system to better help you choose which sims to download and which to not download.
This server problem might seem like it's bad but I truly believe that it did nothing but good. It gives me a chance to start over and fix problems that I have noticed over the last 6 months. The number 1 problem was that I created bemanisims.com in 2 days without any planning at all. I just threw it all together and published it. Now that I have to start over I am going to do it right.
For my idea of a voting system I am going to do something like a Slashdot moderating system. Each comment posted on slashdot gets rated by a moderator. I believe what I want to do is have a pretty large moderating staff at bemanisims who actually downloads the song, plays it and scores it. This is not yet set in stone but I would like people to email me if they are interested in become a bemanisims moderator. They will need to download newly submitted simfiles and score them. If you think you are mature enough to handle this, send an email to keith@bemanisims.com with Moderator in the subject line.
I guess the main reason I am putting this here is to let everyone know that bemanisims is not dead and that I am working on it as we speak.
