In 2004, MTV added a new category to their annual Video Music Awards contest: Best Video Game Soundtrack. This year, DDR Extreme has found itself as one of the nominees for a VMA, competing against Def Jam: Fight For NY, Madden NFL 2005, Midnight Club 3, and Tony Hawk's Underground 2.

After last year's "game of the year" nonsense in which we set up voting scripts and the game ended up getting last anyway, I highly doubt that our voting will make any difference in the end.

Except it should have been Ultramix 2. Better songs. But then again this is MTV, so it's not like they care about good underground artists or what not.

Can we have that voting script back please?  My guess is that Underground 2 wins because they've had both Bam and Hawk at their award shows, or Def Jam because everybody that will be watching this show is a white boy (age 11-30) who thinks they're black.

And no, DDR isn't going to win; even if MTV doesn't decide the contest themselves, they have enough of a following that says "hAy l00k (fake-) R4p music!! LOLO, it's' t3h b3st EVAR!!!" to keep DDR from winning. Maybe if this contest were held by a different site/company than MTV...
