So. I've got a little bit of money.
I'm starting to miss DDR. I haven't played it since I started playing serious IIDX, which was in May. So I'm looking to buy a pad or 2, probably a foam pad. The Gamestop pad I had taped to the floor wasn't cutting it.
I had a RedOctane Ignition 2.0, and that lasted me from Light play to Heavy/Oni play, about 2.5 years. So maybe I'll go for the RedOctane Ignition 5.0. Though I'm sure it wouldn't last as long since now I play Heavy/Oni exclusively.
I've also heard a little bit about the BuyN'Shop DX Xtreme Fusion pads. Right now it's $106 for a doubles pack, so if they're any good, I may grab a couple.
I would go for a metal pad, but I doubt I'll be getting more money anytime soon.
Anyone else have other suggestions? |

If you're gonna pay $106 for two foam/plastic pads, then it shouldn't be that hard to save up $79 more for the RedOctane Afterburner. :| Free shipping and everything.
Pads are so subjective to the individual that it's almost impossible to find two similar reviews on the same pad. Sure, there are ones you know you shouldn't buy, and ones that are too expensive, but the ones in between are probably worth some digging to find out what people have said. For me, the closer to the arcade pad the better, so foam pads don't do it at all for me. Just throwin' it out there. |
