What I find even more ironic is that it mentions some guy that created Warcraft. Warcraft started out as a Warhammer Fantasy PC game then turned into Warcraft. So there's another huge "knock-off" that actually knocked something else off. _________________

If you have proof I'd like to see it. I never heard of anything like that. _________________

Hmm. It appears my facts are wrong, and I stand corrected. I read some stuff in some comments in Kotaku, they were probably wrong aswell >.<
And Discoman, I'm not really here to stay, I play DDR and Stepmania from time to time, but I just decided to pop in and give my thoughts on "DJ Hero" since I read about it on Joystiq.
EDIT: Changing my name to Mushrooshi, thats the name I use all the time anyways.
EDIT2: Is that other admin who closed the tv forum Phrekwenci under a new name? _________________

It is beyond me why people state things like this when it is pretty obvious that the idea did not originate with Guitar Hero... calling Rock Band a GH rip off is like calling Doom a rip off of any game before it that features... a gun. _________________

But Rock Band stole the guitar from Guitar Hero!! (-1 for Rock Band)
So now they're even? ![E19.gif](images/smilies/E19.gif) |
but really, they both stole from Guitar Freaks and Percussion Freaks, so -1 for both of them.

this.
Activision kinda messed up on GH3 anyways, Battle Mode was imbalanced and only fun to mess around with and the Singer and Drummers were horrible. Singer being ugly, drummer being out of sync and moving like a stick figure. |

Konami tried to sue Harmonix over the guitar game idea, and lost. They didn't exactly "allow" it but they couldn't stop it from happening.
Nitpicking about who stole what from whom is ridiculous, enjoy the games or don't. _________________

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]
