Has anyone had any experiences with the v4.5 Pad? Are the improvements over the v4.0 pad worth the extra $20-30? I don't know who the manufacturer is but I'm looking to get two foam pads that are of good quality. The high-density pads seem to be the step up from my standard 1" foam pad.
Just need opinions from the pros.
Many thanks in advance. |

All foam pads are 1-inch thick, the only difference between the 4.0 and the 4.5 on the site is the "density." High density means it's hard the other ones are softer and have a lot of give. Unless you have severe pain in your knees, high density is superior. I don't see why it's an extra $20-$30 though. MyMyBox sells the inserts by themselves and it's just a $10 difference:

Thanks for the reply Dave.
What about the quality of that brand or type of gamepad? Do I need to consider brand when buying a High-density foam pad now or are they all manufactured the same? |

Alright, if we go with the PS2 pads we'll be going with the RedOctane 5.0 pads.
My wife brought up the idea of going with the XBox360 DDR games, but it looks like we can't find any foam pads for the XBox 360 that aren't made by Mad Catz. (How they stay in business is beyond me...)
We can't go with metal due to cost and we're not going to shuffle them around our media room when we want to play. Also, we don't like using the wrinkle pads since they're so... shuffley and wrinkley. Are we just SOL for the XBox 360?
Thanks in advance. |

Hmmm, I guess there aren't many active posters in this section. Anyway, in the case of the 360, you are indeed SADLY OUT of LUCK as you put it.
I wish RedOctane still had the 3.0's though. The 5.0s are $20 more and looks like they only added Gamecube/Wii compatibility. _________________
