Ohhay. :] I'm Dantil.
I've been playing DDR...eh....A good 4 years, maybe? It's been so long I think I've lost track. XP
I'm in Michigan, near Detroit. And also far away from most good DDR spots. :[ [the two best and closest places to play are either gone, or their machines are gone]
I guess I'm okay, but not anything special. I play on heavy, mostly, and can pass most 9 footers and a few 10s, but I'm kind of fail in the arcades. [I have a hard time holding freezes. I wear boots so I'm heavier. O_O;] Just not used to the pads. But I'm working on it! :]
Nice to meet you all. :] |

Hello fellow DDR Freaks. Me and my girl friend became fascinated by the idea of DDR one night when someone linked us to a video of an incredible player. We got DDR X and 2 mats for Christmas. So I've been playing for about 1 month, same for her.
We know own, after a month, DDR X, DDR SuperNova2 and In The Groove. Our progression has been pretty good. The most difficult song we can play is probably Soul Crash on 9 but, we can play lots of songs on 9-10.
If someone from Waco, Texas reads this we'll be coming down this weekend to play in an arcade for our first time. We're both pumped about this.
I'm a college student taking 15 hours of class, I'm considering getting a game and I'm eh pretty cool guy.
Howdy. |

Hello, I'm Brandon. I've been playing dancing games for about 3 years. It started when I saw someone playing ITG at Ocean City. I started playing DDR everyday for a year until I could barely pass 10's. While at the Harrisburg Mall, I saw BBQ and Branden playing. I started playing ITG ever since. Then, an arcade opened minutes from where I live with an ITG machine there as well. It's been almost 2 years since then, and I can now pass 14's and stuff. My FA (PA is alright) too.
I just got back into playing DDR at home again. I've got two ignition soft pads which are pretty nice. I have some expert AAA's, but nothing too amazing.
As of now, I've been busy playing stepmania and writing stepcharts. Dancing wise, I have been trying to improve my stamina. 13's feel pretty easy now, but I still need to work on my footspeed so I can pass 15's. _________________

Hello, my name is Ben and I live in San Diego. Ive always loved DDR but never really had the chance to play it that often (I had a cheap plastic mat and I hated it). I just recently ordered a Cobalt Flux and I intend on using it for my cardio and just for fun. Hope to be able to contribute and learn a lot of things from this forum. Cheers! |

Hellos!
I've been playing DDR for a decent amount of time. I was first exposed to it maybe in 2001 when a friend got it for Playstation. The first DDR I bought was Ultramix for Xbox.
I consider myself "pretty good" since I can beat 9-step songs but my skill is short of "ultimate master". I still play with a soft mat and in arcades I fair so-so?
Also my favorite DDR artist is Kosaka Riyu.
I actually signed up a few months ago but for some reason forgot to activate my account thusly didn't post or anything. |

Hewwo evewy body (do people actually read this thread?)
I'm a returning DDR Freak member, V~forVampy~. Unfortunately I can't access my old account, but I figured I should make a new one anyways.
I have been playing didder for almost 9 years, ever since my friend went to Japan and brough back a copy of the game (and then I got a modded PS1).
My dad, who almost never let me have video games as a child, thought the idea of a physical/rhythmic game was so cool he started an arcade based on the concept of bemani. That arcade is long since gone, and my passion for Bemani has since dwindled.
But recently I wanted to do the arrow stomp so huzzah, I magically found my way back to DDRFreak.
Anyways, I'm living in Pleasant Hill, CA (near Concord, east bay area), but I grew up in Oklahoma. that is all. _________________

Hello, I'm supergamer. I'm from Vancouver. I'm a 4th year university student majoring in computing science at Simon Fraser University. I played DDR for about a year after a month of stepmania with my fingers. I got bored of hitting arrows with my fingers; therefore I decided to hit the arrows with my feet instead. I found this forum while I'm doing research on how to improve my DDR skills after playing it for about half a year. Its really helpful to see that there are so many players on the forum that gives out their advise on how to improve their skills in DDR. |

Tyler here. Got into DDR on the ps2 when max1 and max 2 came out than stopped playing for a number of years. Than I moved to the Cities, where the closest fun thing to my house is a DDR machine, so I'm getting back into it. I was able to do a couple nines before I stopped playing years ago, so with the time and transition to arcade (its a strange adjustement from someone who just played at home) I'm doing 7-8s. |
