Hey all, just finished downloading this, but i need some help. I'm not very experienced with adding things to Stepmania other then songs, and i need someone to explain in detail how i get the complete pack installed in Stepmania

Also, could some one explain a little more about ITG Rebirth for me? I thought ITG died when Konami sued Roxor and got the rights to ITG. but in the description of ITG Rebirth it says "The dance game legend In The Groove returns to the arcade and PC". Does that mean there are ITG Rebirth machines in arcades? If there are I've never heard of one....

You got Stepmania or something equivalent?

Locate the songs and put them in the "songs" folder in stepmania.

Locate the courses and put them in the "courses" folder in stepmania.

When you download stepmania, you will have folders like that as a default: songs, courses (marathons), etc.

Some folders are duplicates... just check what they are labeled and then check the folders that match their titles in stepmania. If everything looks the same, don't bother carrying it over.

*Note*

We aren't exactly in denial as we are "oh, well we could do it better anyway". The end result of this is coming very soon.

i got the ITG rebirth downloaded and i copied the folders into the stepmania folder. i have a slight issue. i didn't know where to put the BackgroundEffects and BackgroundTransitions folders and so in the game sometimes it crashes and says its missing a file in

...\Stepmania\BGAnimations\ -then either- white flash\BGAnimation.ini -or- yellow flash\BGAnimation.ini.

When i go to these folders there is a file called BGAnimation in them (it says configuration settings as a file type). Is this the supposably missing file or did i not copy something right?

Those folders go into the stepmania program folder (so you had it in the right place). That is supposedly the missing file. If this issue keeps occuring I would just download Rebirth lite. It has all the bg videos and scripts removed.

After almost ten months of waiting, the second revision of In The Groove Rebirth is finally ready for release!

Updates include:

Cherry Blossom Whirlwind Revisited by Beatdrop vs LMK is now Cherry Blossom Whirlwind (LMK Remix) by Beatdrop; courses have been updated appropriately
Updated sync, in both the .sm files and the audio
Updated RandomMovies, to decrease their quality for less lag on machines, and less filesize for download/upload times
Three new marathons: Galactic, Not Connected, and Hard Nines
Every song that reached 2:00 or higher have been patched
Added the joke graphic to Baby Seal's folder
Changed Mongolian Grill's SX from a 9 to a 10
Two packs: one with RandomMovies and their BGscripts, and one without. Both have everything else listed above

R2 on Megaupload
R2 without BG stuff on Megaupload

We'll list more official mirrors for the packs as they become available.

Just in time for the next Rocky Mount! With any luck, Rebirth will be perfect with this revision, so we, the Developers, can finally move on to other projects.

Cool. So I guess Rynker's sync will be obsolete? Well, I'm glad the songs are sync'd. That was my big turn-off with the original rebirth. Oh, and KoL, I may see you Rocky Mount depending on if I can get a ride.

Have you ever been curious about what songs and charts were denied in the making of the In The Groove Rebirth megapack? Well, with In The Groove: Rejected, you would know just exactly what thoughts were going through our heads when we first heard the songs ourselves. Several denied songs and cuts, along with two fistfuls of denied charts as .edit files.

This little bonus is just for laughs. Have fun!

Just started playing some of the harder Rebirth doubles.
Gargoyle is a very interesting chart.
I still can't decide if I like it or hate it.

Over the Rave doubles should be rerated as a 13.
Have passed it twice, and I can usually pass Energizer on demand.

Can't load all the songs, damn 5mb limit, going to Marlborough tomorrow, they have Rebirth loaded, which will be nice.

i've downloaded the pack (5 minutes) and copied everything as the instructions said, but every time I try to play any song, the game (ITG2 PC by mDaWg) crashes. Other songs work OK. Does anyone know what to do?

yeah, I've tried, but when I install it, when I press "display settings" in options the game crashes. And I can't play with that low resolution, with screen set to 4:3.

I've already try re-installing.

I still cannot open "graphic option".

More importantly, I cannot set the BPM to exactly 141.956, as I did in ITG2 PC, and therefore, if I set it to 141.95 it's too slow (very noticeable), and if I set it to 141.96, it's too fast. Is it possible to set it that accurately?

Open the .sm file and change the BPM in there.
