Get an afterburner. TX-6000 or TX6500 otherwise.

Let me make this clear: DDRGame pads SUCK. They are super-duper cheap.

What about the ion pads? They look pretty sturdy.

no. anything from ddrgame is crap.

my friend has bought 2 pads from ddrgame, one was the ION and it was horrible. it started to break about 2 weeks after he received it.

Cool. I am just worried about the pad breaking under my weight. So if the one mentioned above is legit, I'll get it.

So it's between Afterburner and the TX-6000/TX6500. I take it they are both equal?

Hi

the 6500, from just doing a quick google looks like it's only available in Europe.

The 6000 looks like it's all metal - but it's not really. Use the search here on the forum for the TX-6000. I don't remember exactly, but I think? it's a thin metal on thin wood.

Both the afterburner and the 6000 use foil contacts, so ...

I don't know how recessed the 6000 arrows are, but I have read the arrows on the afterburner can be "too" recessed.

Good luck! and no, don't buy anything from ddrgame.

yeah, the afterburner's are too recessed IMO.

and basically, NO metal pad is going to be all metal.
also, almost *all* metal pads use the foil contacts, so thats not really the issue. plus thats an easy fix (sheet metal mod)

If none of the arrows are cracked, all of them work, and you can get it open to do maintenance and cleaning, it's probably worth it.

I think I'm just gonna aim for the MyMyBox 3" when it's available.

lol, I don't have a set budget for this pad, if there's something beyond MyMyBox without getting a real cabinet, I'm game.

Been looking around eBay for a cabinet, but to get it into the basement would be a test.

I've been waiting on mymybox for a long time... I don't think they will be getting bluesharks anymore. I can't even really see how they will stay in business much longer...
