So I tried playing DDR Ultramix 3 playing Butterfly on Single Light and for some stupid reason, can't seem to be earning a full combo. Some "symptoms" I've noticed were:

  1. On a random right arrow in basic 1/4 note speed I'd get a Miss/Boo instead of Great/Perfect. This problem is intermittent.
  2. At least once there was a left.gifright.gif that I did that ended up being a Miss instead of at least a Good. This problem is also intermittent and since this includes a right.gif arrow, this problem may be related to the above problem.

For a frame of reference, I've owned this pad approximately ever since I've been a member of DDRFreak.

So here's some questions:

  1. Any more diagnostic questions you want/need answered about my pad?
  2. What could possibly be wrong?
  3. Is there a possible way for me to fix the problem?
  4. Is there a way for me to prevent this issue (e.g. modding them) with my other pads?
  5. Is there a way that Konami warranty might cover this problem?

    1. If so, how do I get Konami warranty involved?

  6. Konami.com only seems to sell new pads through their Xbox bundles with games, which I don't need. So where is a good place I could get a replacement new Xbox Konami softpad?

dont get a soft pad, either get a foam pad or a metal pad if you want a good pad. if you liked the feeling of the soft pad, take a look at the redoctane ignition v3(http://www.redoctane.com/Game-Controllers/DDR-Dance-Pads/Ignition-Dance-Pad-3-0-Multi-Platform-Edition) or the MYMYBOX blueshark DDR Deluxe pad (http://mymybox.com/ddrmbsdxwii.html). some say the MYMYBOX is better, some say the Redoctane is better, just do a little research around the internet (ever heard of google E15.gif ). Good luck!

Hi rddr

sounds like the soft pad has reached the end of its' days.

Warranty-wise? you've had the pad over a year, so I highly doubt Konami would do anything.

Did you have the pads modded? that's supposed to help the longevity. I tried it and my knees and hips couldn't take the pounding of the thin pad on wood.

I do right now have a 2006 version mmb dense foam pad, but those are made for PS2, the xbox version is "out of stock".

xbox-compatible pads:

or you could try going the *gasp* ebay route and see if you can find something there. It shouldn't, but it does always surprise me that Konami doesn't sell pads. I mean, who better to make and sell DDR pads than the company that makes the games?!

n00byn4t3r, why do you always have to have some snarky little comment?
