It sounds like a loose wire. Open up whichever is giving you trouble to check if the wires are loose. _________________

Check under the little black piece of foam - if both the wires are attached there, as well as at the chip under the up arrow (see where the wire comes out? The chip is on the other side; you can just take the up arrow off to check that out) you'll have to take the base off. This is REALLY ANNOYING AND TEDIOUS, but the only way to fix the wires because these pads are annoying. Find the screws (usually 7-10), get them out, take off the base, and check the wires where the metal bars go over them. The wire coming from the left arrow is probably broken somewhere due to one of these. Fix it, then put duct tape over the wires everywhere the bars go over them to prevent this from happening in the future. Replace the base, and hopefully your pad now works. If not, there's something wrong with your CB. _________________
