So... what is up with the Guitar Hero Community?

Yeah, first time OB&MG poster, I have some questions.

Lately I have been receiving comments on various videos of mine. I own several Guitar Hero II hacks, one of which had Through the Fire and the Flames before GHIII released. I feel that it would be nice to show the public some videos of these works from other people.

However, with the exception of a few like-minded individuals, everyone seems to have a taste for flaming and jumping to conclusions such as...

"That song is Midnight Train dumbass!"
"You suck! Don't upload to YouTube again!"
"Waste of my time"

All of this referring to one of my videos where I spoof The Sopranos with, as the game calls it, "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey. I cut the video at a certain point, yadda yadda, same like the Sopranos, get it?

This pretty much happens to all my videos and other people's videos. I have two questions regarding this.

Why such the hostility in the GH community?

What's your opinion on such behavior?

To answer the second question, I find it embarrassing and actually a bit funny that 80% of these people who display this behavior cannot back themselves up.

There's a lot of elitism in the GH community, best to ignore it usually.

It's why I usually just put my scores from playing on ScoreHero with a picture so nobody can bitch about it.

They don't have anything better to do but big themselves up for some reason they don't want us to know about. And you're probably right about them not being able to back themselves up. The ones who usually discredit other people suck at the game themselves. Just post your vids and ignore those douchebags.
