Hi all- so I've been around for ages but I suppose I'll just introduce myself for those who don't know me. I play no bar singles and doubles in SoCal and am pretty solid (~95+ on singles 11s, ~90+ on doubles 11). But I certainly remember DJTyrant moderating- been a while since the AI gatherings of years back! I play in OC, Howie's every now and then, but go to UCLA so am back in Westwood most of the year.

UCLA's getting ITG2 and I'll be, erm, "administrating" the machine. Over the years I've made a lot of connections and acquired some nice simfiles of damn rare songs. Think people connected to the industry who make steps for rare promos and are very protective of the charts... not something they have down at Howie's, so I encourage you to check it out, since we're going to take good care of it. I'll keep you all posted.

In the meantime, does anybody know what happened to inthegroove.com? It was seriously up a few days ago. I need to DL R21/R23 and it's worrying me.

You know Harrison? My storage unit is in the same complex as his (along with some other arcade operators, sellers, and collectors (like myself).

You are a god among men, daphat.

And yes, I certainly know Harrison- I saw him just last week, actually. I help them with some leg work at UCLA since they're back and forth most of the time.

Over the years I've met a lot of people who have been around the business- Ken over at Westwood Arcade had a history at CGL in Anaheim. I also know some of the folks at OC Games, and of course Brad down in SD. It's a great business and I really commend those who are passionate about it, since it's becoming tough to keep up in light of the availability of high-powered consoles.

We should hang out sometime. Maybe play some ddr or whatnot (even though, you are probably way better than I am). Hell, maybe I've met you before and just don't know it tongue.gif

Sure man- I talked with Eric just now and it looks like I'm going to be setting up the ITG2 for AX once they move the machines. I don't remember, did you say you were going to be setting up as well? Hells, I'm down.

Nah. He didn't ask me to help him out. I probably won't go to the expo this year at all since it looks like it'll be a pain in the buttocks to get into the arcade without buying a pass, and they don't have concerts that would warrant me buying a day pass. I don't really care much about the expo except for the concerts and the arcade tongue.gif

But, hey. I posted in the southern california forum that I want to do a little meet thing on thursday. If you're going to AX on thursday, you can even take the metro to here (red line -> blue line-> green line-> norwalk stop). If you can't make it, maybe another time then.

UCLA is getting ITG2? That's good to know.
I saw few of your scores down at UCLA when I visited my friends there.
I remember I tried to take down few of your scores, but I don't remember if I actually succeeded. lolz
But you're good =P
