|
|
I recently ordered the cheap ITG bundle from Target and received it yesterday. I noticed there's a rather severe problem with Double (8-panel) mode which makes it impossible to play. I'm curious to know if anyone else has encountered this problem.
The problem seems to be that the arrows on the right mat are activating the wrong arrows. Everything works fine during song selection, but once the music starts, all of the arrows on the right pad activate the corresponding arrows on the left pad. That is, when I press the right arrow on the right pad, I can see the right arrow on the left pad bounce on the screen. X activates up on the right pad, and O activates right on the right pad. Select and start seem to work as normal.
What's really odd is that this doesn't happen during two-player mode; in that case, the right mat works fully correctly. As I said, it also works correctly during the song selection screens and such. Swapping the mats or replacing the RedOctane mat with another dance mat doesn't help.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is there a workaround to get things working properly? |

I've encountered this problem before. I thought I was going insane and that my mat was somehow broken. Luckily, the fix for this is extremely simple.
Going into the Game options screen. There should be an option there about Doubles play - currently you have it set to Single Controller. Change that to two controllers.. viola! You'll be able to use both mats now.
I have no idea why that option is even there in the first place. Why would someone want to restrict doubles to one mat??? |

I think that option is if (for some reason or another) you want to play doubles with a ps2 controller (not a pad) because why would someone play doubles using two different controllers? rofl
That is if I'm correct of course lol |

Mateui, you're a champ. That worked perfectly. Having it work that way out of the box -- especially when the box includes two dance mats -- is a pretty idiotic default⦠Ah well. Thanks! |
