I have a bunch of soft pads that longer use, and I was wondering if someone around here has a tutorial of some sort on how to create a hard pad, out of a soft pad.

Hmm, that looks pretty good actually! I was thinking about taking the sensors out of a pad, and making a kind of wood body pretty much around the sensors and the control box.

It's probably easier to do what I did, and hack a controller. Gamestop has some madcatz controllers that work well for ps2 controller hacking (if you don't mind the chargers logo on them) for $10. A good soldering iron, and a bit of wire will make the job go nice and easy. The gamestop gamecube controller is nice for gamecube hacking also (actually, it's easier to hack than the chargers controller since it has 4 ground points instead of one common one). Then, just do the aluminum foil sensors on the stealth pad, and you'll be good to go. Otherwise, you'd have to take apart the soft pad, figure out where the hell everything is, and mess with sensors that are already used and abused.

I really like the design of the stealth, I might make one after summer school. But, hacking entails what exactly? Is it in the tutorial in the stealth's thread? Also, is the stealth a good homepad to make? Looks like it to me..............

I can't say anything about the stealth pad because I used the riptide design on my pads.

"hacking" a controller simply means (in this case) soldering new wires onto the contacts of the direction arrows, and to the ground (8 wires total unless you want only one ground, but I like to have one ground for each arrow).
