I totally have - that's why I'm posting a thread about it on a site based on the game.

ITG offers a greater challenge, and a MUCH WIDER selection of songs, if not unlimited. DDR steps are just becoming more ridiculous, on the other hand, and by ridiculous, I mean retarded. Not to mention, some DDR songs (Mainly on Extreme) just seem quite offsync. D2R anyone?
I might play DDR here and there, but I think I'll stick with ITG, thanks. <3 |

When you take into account the ITG custom song feature - the ITG has an infinite amount of songs! |

The idiot who has to throw some sort of number similar or 1337.
ThEn fanboys have a giant flamewar about. ZOMG SN1 WAS DECENT
NUH UH IT WAS TERRIBLE!!!!111!!!!1
Then the mods come and lock it..
(this post wasn't made to offend anyone who defends Sn1,Sn2 etc) |

You've gotta be kidding me - linking me to wikipedia.
You do realize when they were building ITG they asked permission to use "stepmania", right? |

Despite him linking to wikipedia, they are two different things; just because he linked to wikipedia doesn't make his point any less valid. If they had to "ask permission" to use their software in the building of something new, doesn't that point right there show that they are indeed two different things? You also do realize that one of the co-creators of ITG worked on Stepmania? AND, despite all of that, I can't take anyone seriously who keeps track of Supernova 2 scores. GUYS LEWK I'M PLAYIN FACKS ON NORMAL MODEZ

I honestly haven't seen anyone argue that SN1 or SN2 is better than ITG......ever..... _________________

Honestly I think you're absolutely right. I can understand people arguing that an 8th Mix Extreme is better, to each their own on that point imo, but either of the Supernovas? XD I think that's just a bit ridiculous. |

Different strokes for different folks. I remember a time when people didn't hold the bar, and those scores didn't count etc. etc.
I like the fact that I can keep track of my marvelouses in normal play. I wanted to see how much easier it would be to AAA, and in 5 weeks, that is the result. I bet you didn't notice the marvelous percentage though.
I could say that I can't take anyone seriously who joined last year, but hey, maybe I'm splitting hairs. Also, caps sarcasm is so 2004. You might as well have typed in leet speak. |

..They're still two separate games, I don't quite understand where you're coming from. If they were the same, ITG would have been called Stepmania. One is a simulator for the PC, one is an arcade game that got sued by Konami. End of story. Besides that point, I may have only joined last year, but I can guarantee you that join dates mean absolutely nothing. 100% guaranteed, I could drink 1 1/2 bottles of Robitussin Long Acting Cough Syrup and still beat you at DDR or ITG. Yes, I am blatantly putting it out there that I could be tripping hardcore and still beat you at DDR. |

Fixed.
Which totally makes one a better arrow smash player, anyways.
I'll say ITG is not Stepmania. At least ITG is a heavily modified theme of Stepmania, but that makes it a theme, not Stepmania. Linux is based off Unix, but they're not the same; any one of millions of nerds would wish they could punch you if you equated them. _________________
