|
|
Alright, i finnally found a computer that works with my cobalt flux.
Vista totally sucks for EMS USB2 or just flux, so so you know.
I just bought off Cobaltflux.com their clear arcade mod kit
I would like to do a base mod with a bar.
Im thinking about getting a thick plywoodbase 4'' like real arcade and add sheetmetal.
Any could give me a link to do that?
Is it possible to add lights to a cobalt flux?
Im working on the quarter mod to increase sensibility.
After i wrap them in tinfoil, how i tape them? How much pennies per arrow? And wich kind of tape i use to not lose the contact.
Where can i buy metal pipes for doing the bar ?
How much they cost?
Thanks
If you have any advice for modding a cobalt flux so it looks like more like an real arcade, just tell me =)

also wondering about the penny mod myself. CFs are pretty sensitive as it is, but it would be nice to give the contacts a more solid feel. _________________

Ive been told that CF arcade MOD + penny mod = real arcade feeling.
Its about the same thing, im going to add it a 2'' base so... will be liek a real arcade.
Penny mod is most for the begginning of the arrow, the semi-circle, without penny mod its not sensitive there and its not like the arcade with your foot doesnt have to hit the middle part of the arrow |

are there any sites with pictures of said penny mod? The descriptions I've heard are still ambiguous. _________________

This acts like suspension, it gives it a more sturdy and arcade like feel, while making each panel more sensitive. It also helps you not clean your pad so often. |

I know a couple people here and done a "penny mod" to their CFs--that is, putting pennies strategically between the panel layers to increase their sensitivity. Does this actually change of the feel of the pad from a stepping standpoint at all? |
Yes, but don't do it, i repeat, DON'T DO IT. it will make dents in the sheet metal after a couple weeks and it will make the pad do crazy stuff, like randomly trigger arrows you are no where near stepping on, etc. |

I'd imagine putting multiple coins spread out would distribute the stress on the sheets, reducing denting. Might make it too sensitive, since the surface of the contact is curved, so the farther away from the center you go the less space there is. _________________

Look Iamchris4life.... i think he has a penny mod, the arrows aren't bowing AT ALL!!! if its not that i have no idea what he did to have his arrows not bend and being so sensitive |
