Would some DDR boss songs (like FaxX, FELM, Max300, etc.) be rated higher than 10 in ITG? Cause iv heard that the ratings are a little less harsh on ITG, like 10 on ITG being equal to 9's or 8's on DDR. So, what would DDR boss songs on ITG be rated? |

Xepher=9
PSMO=11
FaxX=12
HDV Oni Doubles=11
ITG 9's are sometimes harder than DDR 9's and ITG 10's sometimes easier than DDR 10's, thus making it easier to make the transition from 9's to 10's. _________________

The easiest 10 on ITG is more difficult than the likes of Sakura, Xepher, Chaos and Bag.
Chaos is like a 7 or 8.
Bag is an 8.
Sakura and Xepher are 9s.
Max 300, SMMM and PARANOiA Survivor are 10s.
MaxX, TLOM and PSMO are hard 10s/easy 11s.
FAXX, HDVO and FELM are hard 11s/easy 12s.
What songs am I missing? _________________

You can't really rate the two. You fail LOM with 5 misses on Extra Stage which means it's pretty hard, and it's probably easier to fail it than Bang because you can get through it with like 30 misses.
But whatever, in my opinion
9:
Sakura
Xepher
Bag (would be a 10 if it stayed offsync)
10:
Max 300
11:
Maxx Unlimited
Paranoia Respect
Max 300 SMMM Oni
LOM
12:
Faxx (extra stage only, 5 misses = fail)
Felm (same as faxx)
PSMO
13:
Healing D-Vision Oni (the only way you can play it is on the course, which is 4 misses = fail)
I'm only using the hardest difficulties of each 10. I dunno if I missed any. I'm sure some of you are going to argue PSMO and maybe more, but personally I think it's pretty hard to get 98%+ on that song compared to other ITG 12's.
edit: Oh yeah, Chaos Oni would probably be a 11 since you fail it in 1 miss or on an oni course in 4 misses. Pretty hard unless you've memorized the song. _________________

IMO...
Chaos: 8
bag, Sakura, Max. (period) Oni: 9
G2, Outer Limits, Mad Blast, Xepher: easy 10
Max 300, PS, SMMM, HDV: 10
Unlimited, LoM, PSM, SMMMO, Max. (period), Respect: 11
Faxx, Faxxo, PSMO: easy 12
HDVO, Felmo: 12
Note that I'm talking about passing difficulty, and strictly step difficulty (basically, I'm rating them based on how difficult they would be to pass on R21). _________________

I agree with all except for the Faxxes. I feel those are both hard 11s (like Monolith). PSMO is also an 11 for sure. |

Cryosleep has difficult slowdowns, 32nd bursts, and the 16th note burst-stream at the end.
I don't find Xepher and Chaos to have anything more difficult. _________________

You're probably right on the Faxxes; I haven't played them all that much.
I agree with you on PSMO, now that I think about it. I guess I just didn't like the idea of giving PSM and PSMO the same foot rating. _________________

Heres my two cents:
9's: Bag (no one really plays this on 1x anyways) Xepher, Sakura, and Chaos(this song is really easy)
10's: Max 300, Maxx Unlimited(it's not that hard pass wise.... ), TLOM (Mini run is really only difficult section) Max.(Period) Oni, FELMH, HDV, Max 300 SMMM Heavy, and PS.
11's: PSMO (Not complex, just draining) Chaos Oni (only an 11 for its retarted chart) Paranoia Respect (Not really complex, ending can get a bit tricky though) HDVO (Haven't played this in a long time, could probably pass it now) PSMH (that ending is just messed up) Max.(Period) (HI THAR x1 600 BPM!!!!), and Max 300 SMMMO.
12's: FELMO (just no )Faxx/Faxxo (hi thar 400 bpm stepjumps ) Faxx would be an 11 if I could pass it at arcade. I can pass stuff like Monolith and Hardcore Symphony but not this.... _________________

I don't find Xepher and Chaos to have anything more difficult. | First off, Cryosleep's slowdowns are far from difficult, and they follow the rhythm exactly. The sudden 32nds also follow the rhythm and are really easy to FC. The "16th stream" at the end is the only fairly difficult part about that song, and the 16ths are really slow, and aren't continuous since they have little breaks in them. (Xephers ending is basically the same thing) Xepher tires me out more than Cryosleep because it's the same difficulty throughout the song pretty much.
And Chaos...the stops are just too much for me. I can't picture myself FC'ing that anytime soon. >.< |

I agree. Cryosleep is a step or two below PS, which is already easy enough for a 10. _________________

Have you FFC'd the slowdowns? FEC'd, even? I'm pretty sure I haven't.
DarkCore wrote: | The sudden 32nds also follow the rhythm and are really easy to FC. |
If you're good at drills, maybe. But there's nothing that fast in any of the DDR 10s that I'm comparing to this song.

Yet Bag, Xepher, and Chaos don't have any 16th burst-streams in them. Sakura does at the very end, but that is much more brief and slows down abruptly.
DarkCore wrote: | (Xephers ending is basically the same thing) |
Cryosleep's ending requires much more movement. Xepher's ending consists only of drills and minimal movement.
DarkCore wrote: | And Chaos...the stops are just too much for me. I can't picture myself FC'ing that anytime soon. >.< |
If you have the simfile, you can just whore it on SM. Once you memorize the stops, the song is a cake walk.

Cryosleep's 16th notes are almost the same speed as PS's 8th notes and not quite as difficult to execute. _________________

GotACoolName wrote: | Have you FFC'd the slowdowns? FEC'd, even? I'm pretty sure I haven't. | Haha, you know I can't FFC o.O, but I'm pretty sure I've FEC'd them the first time I played it. I'll try it on Friday, but judging from SM (I've gotten all Marvelouses on them without a C-Mod), and the YouTube videos that I have seen, they don't look remotely hard to do on a pad.
GotACoolName wrote: | If you're good at drills, maybe. But there's nothing that fast in any of the DDR 10s that I'm comparing to this song. | And? Just because they aren't in DDR 10's doesn't make them hard. They're just like the triplets in VerTex - easy to pass, but pretty hard to score on.

But yeah, my point is that one of DDR's easy 10's is harder than one of ITG's easy 10's. =\ |

But the fact that they're not found in any of the DDR 10s contributes to my argument: that Cryosleep is more difficult than Sakura, Xepher, Bag, and Chaos.

Xepher's ending 16th notes are mostly drills, yes? Cryosleep's are not; they have consistently changing steps that require more movement than just lifting up your foot and putting it back down.
