well i was gonna name this thread "easiest+hardest 11 footers and songs that shouldnt be 11s" but obviously that would be too long.
basically, just wanna discuss opinions on what you guys think are the easiest and hardest 11 footers
also if there are any 11s that should be 10s/12s then post that too.
I quoted Hands R' Us' post.
it is a very good list of 11 footers and has good, in depth descriptions
Hands R' Us wrote: | !: One of the hardest 11s (it used to be a 12 until it was downgraded in ITG PC). The biggest troubles you will face are the 24th drills and crossovers in the streams. The hands will add to the stamina-drain factor, too. Difficulty: 9/10
Charlene: Really difficult to pass at first, but after some practice with mine dodging, it gets easier. Difficulty: 5/10
Clockwork Genesis: Not many steps; however, the candle jumps and double taps will throw you in for a loop. Not too difficult, though; just complex. Difficulty: 5/10
Destiny: The only bad aspect of the stepchart is the jumps. Otherwise, the steps are decent. Difficulty: 6/10
Frozen Fire: The newest 11 in the series, which appears in ITG PC. The steps are just plain YUCK!! Ridiculous gallop patterns and 24ths clusters at the end of the song. Ueeewwwww!! Difficulty: 8/10
Hardcore Symphony: In my opinion, the toughest 11 on the block. Several long 16th swarms and jump streams that will drive you insane. Pretty tiring song. Difficulty: 10/10
Infection: The only thing that makes the song hard is the plethora of mines throughout. Otherwise, it would be just a mid-tier 10. Difficulty: 7/10
July: Despite being tiring, there are not really any complicated step patterns or crossovers. The gallops add to the stepcount, not difficulty, as with Tribal Style. Difficulty: 7/10
Monolith: Pretty badass 16ths scattered about, but not widespread. Gets rather tiring due to the speed. Relates well to Fascination MaxX in DDR SuperNOVA, except for the lack of tempo changes. Difficulty: 9/10
Mythology: The only reason for the 11 on this one is the stupidass neverending crossover stream at the end of the song. Every time I fail the song, it's because of the ending. Difficulty: 8/10
Pandemonium (Hard): Ouch! A hell of a beating if you ask me. The speed, odd-rhythm jumps, and streams make up one of the most tiring stepcharts in ITG. Difficulty: 9/10
Robotix: This is a relatively easy 11 if you know how to crossover on short 16th swarms. There is a huge section of the stepchart that is seriously lacking steps, allowing you to rebuild stamina after the first part. The 1200 BPM run gets pretty difficult if you do not time the taps too well. Difficulty: 5/10
The Beginning: As with Mythology, there are crossover streams, but 6 BPM slower. Speed makes a difference here; it's not too difficult to read the steps at a high speed modifier. It's still a force to be reckoned with, though. Difficulty: 7/10
Utopia: Probably the easiest 11 to pass. If you don't mind scoring bad, then clearing the round is cakewalk. The only thing to worry about, though, is the lengthy 16th stream halfway through the song. Difficulty: 4/10
VerTex2 (Hard): Speed is your main enemy here. If you can't handle complex jumps and gallops at a high rate of speed, then you will not succeed in this one. Overall, not very difficult to pass if you have good sightreading skills. Difficulty: 5/10
Xuxa: Very few swarms to deal with, but as with Utopia, there is a long one halfway into the song. No complicated turns as with Utopia, but a few more steps to contend with. Difficulty: 5/10 |
heres my opinion(s)
Charlene should be a 10. so not counting Charlene:
easiest-Utopia
reason: its not too fast and it only has 1 little bit of hard stream in it. yet, too hard for a 10.
hardest-July
Reason: skip notes and annoying stream. just so tiring _________________

Okay first of all, Charlene should be an 11 so I don't know what you're talking about. Sure it's one of the easier 11's with very simple patterns, but it doesn't feel like an ITG 10 at all. I can't think of very many tens that are harder (passing wise) then this.
Anyway in my opinion...
Easiest:
1) Charlene (Simplest patterns ever.)
2) Xuxa (Easy rhythm to follow.)
3) Utopia (Hard to score on, but easy to pass.)
Hardest:
1)The Beginning (The crossover streams are really hard in my opinion.)
2) Mythology (Three quarters of the song is very easy to FC and the end is hard to do because of the crossovers in the death run.)
3) Pandemonium (Stamina Draining.)
I'm going by ITG home version because even though I play at the arcade I only do one 11 each time. My goal is usually to pass one new one each time I go. (I go every two weeks.) I have all the 11's in ITG PS2 completed except for The Beginning and Mythology. I'd be able to beat them, I just suck at fast crossover streams. I'll see if I can beat them tomorrow though; I need to beat them before davidyko.
My next goal at the arcade is to pass Destiny; I'm not used to the pads so the beginning stream is rather difficult for me.
I actually like this topic as it's pretty much right where my skill level is. |

meh, charlene is really easy for me, i have like a 90.xx or 89.xx on it. i would have to check.
when you say Pandemonium, you mean the hard steps i assume. i agree that it is stamina draining but i wouldnt really consider it a hardest. i havent tried The Beginning in a while so i would have to do that, same with Mythology.
i agree with Xuxa and Utopia being easiest though. Xuxa is fun. Utopia is soooo offbeat though its nearly impossible to FA it _________________

Yeah, Charlene is really easy for me also. I only have a 75% or something on it though because my Cobalt Flux gives me random pad misses and I quit halfway through when I get them.
And I meant that Pandemonium (Hard) was the third hardest. The Beginning is the hardest in my opinion because of those crossover streams. I get out of breath alot quicker on this than I do on Pandemonium (Hard). Utopia had a good stepchart until they decided to do the whole song on one arrow. Then they do weird gallop/jumps with only left and right arrows which is hard for me to FA or FC for that matter. But still it's not very hard passing wise. I think I only have four 11's left in total:
-Destiny
-Hardcore Symphony
-Mythology
-The Beginning
-VerTex ^2
Which one would you reccomend for me to do first? I'm thinking Destiny.
EDIT: I forgot to put VerTex ^2 (Hard) on my ITG 11 "to do" list.

And I desperately need to beat Pandy Hard before DarkCore beats Mythology and The Beginning.
Anyway, I agree with most of the placings here.
I would just replace Mythology with July, partly because it has steps worthy of a 8 up to the death run. July is, well, a 11. _________________

cheesecake² wrote: | personally, i don't like 11's very much... . My favorite range is 9 footers because they are fun and present a challenge, but they aren't stamina draining. Easier 10s are also fun as well (holy guacamole, agent blatent, etc). D-code is just plain retarded tho |
9's are not challenging at all in my opinion. I like struggling through hard 11's because I'm gaining new skills, and I'm improving my stamina not just in dancing games, but in real life too.

Honestly, I'd say we are really matched in ITG.
Mythology is very stamina draining during those jumps halfway through the song. It gets me so tired before the ending crossover run.
EDIT: Snakebite>>> If you ever go to the arcades try Clockwork Genesis; it's so god damn easy for an 11. Oh, and Robotix isn't too bad either. You just have to keep a good steady rhythm during the 1337 BPM part. |

According to my Stepmania simfile it is. I'm not too sure if it is at the arcades though. I'll check it out next time I go. When I do that speed part I just go barless and hunch forward a little bit. I don't know why, but I can always keep a good steady rhythm that way. Have you cleared it before?
EDIT: Cheesecake>>> Soapy Bubble and Know Your Enemy 11's? Nah I wouldn't say. They aren't hard enough. Tension and Liquid Moon are more deserving of an 11 in my opinion even though they're 10's and they shouldn't be 11's at all. |

It says right at the beginning of the song. It shows the normal BPM and then it scrolls right up to a high number if I remember correctly.
Soapy Bubble
EDIT: Tension seems harder to FA than Soapy Bubble in my opinion. And if Soapy Bubble was an 11, Fleadh Uncut would be one also. |

Liquid Moon is a 9 buddy. Oh and have you ever even played soapy bubble? Tension is so much easier than soapy bubble. _________________

First of all Liquid Moon was changed from a 9 to a 10 so it can be considered a 10. And Soapy Bubble is alot easier in my opinion to score on because I hate Tensions jumps. Different people different strengths.

The quickest that Robotix goes in the speed up is 1200 BPM. _________________
