Oh, okay. I've played lots of games like that. But it's not really a music game, is it? _________________

bust a move is a game where you shoot bubbles at the corresponding color...
bust a groove, is an awesome game, i have the first one sitting right next to me, i should play it soon |
Actually "Bust A Groove" is known as "Bust A Move" in Japan. They had to change the name to Bust A Groove for the american release so people wouldnt get it confused with the puzzle game. Honestly I think the puzzle game should have kept it's title Bubble Bobble, that made more sense.
But anyway, Bust A Move/Groove is a dance competition game I guess you could put it. In the first two games its pretty much a one on one competion with either computer opponents or a friend. Each main character has their own stage, theme song, and dance moves. Yes, an actual music game where the characters do matter and affect gameplay.
The third game (Dance Summit) took a different approach. Instead of one on one dance competitions, you dance in a team of 4 competiting to be the best team member of the bunch. It's a good game to play with 3 friends who love Bust A Move/Groove games. |
