I wouldn't trust eBay for importing game systems, I guess I'll just go with Lik-Sang. |

Alright. A couple more questions about the flip top and swap magic disc. Can I use my US ps2 and ps1 memory cards to save JP games? And when do you use the swap magic disc? When the flip top is installed do you put the swap magic disc in, turn the ps2 on, and then put your jp or burnt game in? When do u put the game you want to play in? and can I play jp ps1 games with it? And can I play burnt jp games? or just burnt US games? thanx _________________

On a sidenote, in reply to the original post, if the reason BM US sucks is because of the difficulty wall you hit, getting a Japanese Style isn't going to magically fix your suckiness.
Go learn the real reasons why people hate BM US, not because it's the cool thing to do/say. _________________

I wouldn't worry. The majority of my imports came from ebay. It's a last resort for finding my imports for cheaper than the other online import shops. _________________

Oh, if you're talking to me, I'm not interested in getting my ps2 modded cause of that. I just want more ddr and beatmania songs to play. I'm not worried about my skill level _________________

I have other reasons. Like how in game mode, you don't get to see all the songs on your first song. I also don't like that there aren't a whole lot of good songs. TaQ songs (and a few others) can only keep me entertained for so long. |

1.) Yes, you can use your US memory cards.
2.) Swap magic works like this:
You insert the swap magic disc like a regular ps2 game. It will load the disc as if it were a regular ps2 game. A menu comes up that says "load program" and "mode". At this time, you open your ps2 using the flip top and switch the swapmagic disc with the JP/Burned disc. Select "Load Program" and it will play your game. The reason you need a flip top is because if you were to try and eject the disc to switch swap magic and a jp game, the system would reset.
3.) I'm pretty sure you can play JP ps1 games with it. SwapMagic comes with a "dvd" disc and a "cd" disc that you use depending on the type of game (this can be found on the back of any ps2 case). Using the "cd" disc to load a ps1 jp game might work. My ps2 doesn't regularly play ps1 games because it's old and crap.. but I downloaded a few programs to my USB flash drive, and loaded them through my ps2 that allowed me to play them (I'll get into it if your end up needing to do that.
4.) Yes, you can play US burnt games aswell as JP burnt games. I burn every JP game I buy for my gf. |

The not being able to see all songs is also in the JP styles if you select arcade mode. Use free play instead of arcade. However, the only problem with the US mix on this is that you have to play the song first before it goes to Free Play, the JP styles already have them there. |

When you click "buy now" or whatever it says, why does it not say any shipping charge? Is it free shipping ? _________________

There is a little drop box under the total that lets you choose what type of shipping you want. Pick the one you need, then scroll down and click the "recalculate" button to figure out the shipping. |
