Yo DDR Players Please Read here ok
On the primetime TV Show Master of Champions, William Matsumoto demonstrated his DDR skills, while at the same time juggling three flaming torches. Playing the song Can't Stop Fallin' In Love (Speed Mix), William obtained a grade of A and a 249 combo (missing breaking his record of a 250 combo by one step), winning the show's top honors.
A Dancing Stage machine (the European counterpart to Dance Dance Revolution) was featured in Madonna's video Hung Up and also an original Dance Dance Revolution machine appeared in Everything But the Girl's video Five Fathoms
On South Park, Stan searches for members to create a group for a dance off. He comes across a Japanese boy whoâs spent $500 playing on a Dance Dance Revolution machine
On Will & Grace, Jack shows off his moves on a Dance Dance Revolution machine in an arcade.
In an episode of Rugrats All Grown Up!, Dil Pickles is seen playing on what looks to be a parody of a Dance Dance Revolution machine.
Dance Dance Revolution was featured in the movie Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen starring Lindsay Lohan who was challenged to a dance off by her nemesis.
The "Celebrity Rocket" episode of Robot Chicken features a segment in which a teenager and Fidel Castro square off in a game of "Dance Dance Revolución" and "Dance Dance Counterrevolución".
In a chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga and an episode of the second Yu-Gi-Oh! series (Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters), Anzu Mazaki (Téa Gardner in the English anime) is seen playing on a Dance Dance Revolution machine against Step Johnny (Johnny Steps in the English anime) in a dance-off battle.
DDR was featured in the movie Grandma's Boy, where the main character's friend Jeff is challenged by another geeky video game tester.
In the movie Imagine Me & You, the two female protagonists are seen dancing on a Dance Dance Revolution machine after they have finished watching a soccer match.

I actually saw that! Plus the Master of Champions kid.
Yeah, DDR is practically a sport, 'cept in Norway where it really is. That's why I don't get it when people say "DDR is dead.". |
