As scarce as many of the songs from In The Groove are, it's still rather likely that you might've heard some of them before you even knew ITG existed. Post where you heard them before in this thread.

To start off, I'm sure I heard Psalm Pilot in an add for Cartoon Network's redesigned website way back in 2002. It was only today that I first realized this.

You do know everyone, including me, is going to talk about hearing Sweet World on the Geico commercial while the gecko is doing the robot, right?

However, unlike me, they'll add the obligatory "lol" at the end of saying that.

Why do people "lol" at stuff that isn't remotely funny?

There are so many. I think we've had this thread here before too.

i've heard alll three Hybrid songs in various clubs, as well as what i'm pretty sure was July -euromix-, a ton of the extreme music stuff on tv, listened to some of Kyle Ward's stuff prior to itg's release. Sunshine, Typical Tropical, and Bumblebee go without saying.

I remember D-Code being in a 1st season Osbournes Episode.... I remember Jack being in a club or something when they were playing it.

Totally forgot about that until last night, when I happened to pick it.

Gecko doing the robot is the obvious one. I'm pretty sure Sweet World was also in a Maybelline commercial for something or other.

This really doesnt make sense to me.....

Where did you hear ITG songs before playing them on ITG?

How would I hear a song from ITG (on a commercial or in public somewhere) and recognize it as a song from ITG if I've never played/heard it before?

The idea is you heard some song, and then later in your life you played ITG.

While you were playing, you recognized one of the songs on ITG from somewhere else.

It is an obscure topic, but it does kind of make sense.

I heard Sweet World in a beauty product commercial of some kind. I heard Queen of Light somewhere, but I can't recall.

For those of you who are Canucks like myself, Music Pleeze plays on the Comedy Network commercial for that stupid "Alice, I Think" show.

I've only recently played ITG, but before that I played stepmania. My friend and I were playing and I picked Energizer on Medium 1x bar for him, no bar for me (im like 5'2, bar hasn't been easy, any tips?), and when it got to the slow part of the song he had some trouble reading the arrows.

Torn by Natalie Browne is a song that I have on a CD I purchased before ITG first came out.

Heard D-Code on a Coke commercial
Torn on the radio
Lipstick Kiss on a local broadcasting commercial
Temple of Boom on an "America's Top Model" (I think it was called that)

OMG I completely forgot about that. D-Code was the theme song for the programming block. Quote from the Adult Swim wiki: "The original theme music for Adult Swim was D-Code by Dust Devil. The music appeared in the dance video game In The Groove 2." E15.gif
