|
|
Is there any sheet music out there for summer in Belize? I need to play a piece for auditions to see where Ill be seated for Music camp, and Id love to play this. Violin music would be best, but piano would also work, Id just need it so it wasnt way up over the staff (dont have too many lines over the staff).
And in the middle part with the groups of seven notes, does it always go to a G after the first note? _________________

Summer in Belize doesn't really sound like a piano/violin song to me, but I don't know crap about musical instruments. _________________

Chances are you'd wanna choose something classical and have it memorized to get a good seat in music camp.
Summer in Belize is a bit to repetitve in my opinion.
Chances are just sit down with it for a day and you could probably write it out.
Note by note.
That's all I have to say.

Regarding the middle part, it goes to G on all but one of them, I think the second-to-last time before the long 16th note stream, where it's on F#. |

F#? That doesn't make much sense musically. Why end in the 7th unless you resolve right after that? I think it is always G, I just played it recently.
Oh, and if you want to impress someone hardcore with your violin skills and you like music from dancing games, then try (and fail) to tackle Kakumei, known by musicians as Frederic Chopin's Revolutionary Etude in C minor. If you can play that, you are.....truly gifted.
Actually, HotN would be much more impressive than Summer in Belize also and probably would land you a good seat. Seriously, HotN is not the easiest thing in the world to play, and if memory serves from when I played it at a piano recital, it is in the key of B minor. _________________

I agree.

That's awesome. Did you transcribe it yourself?

Correct. _________________

Yeah, I ripped it on to my iPod and basically sat down listening to it on a piano bench for a week or two until I got it down start to finish. So yeah, I guess I transcribed it myself.
The beginning isn't that bad, but the finger work gets tricky once the song goes to full tempo. _________________

Baggage, you probably know what Hands R' Us meant.
And plus, there is actually debate still as to the classification of the piano. Some put into string while others percussion. Still others have invented a whole new tier and just called it a keyboard.
String instruments usually implies stuff like violin, viola, cello, guitar, harp, etc.....not usually a piano. _________________

Well, I have it good from the beginning until the seven note vursts come in, and I have no idea how that goes. Im not very good at playing things by ear. _________________

I hate to sound pretentious, but you know that Summer in Belize is a remix of Vivaldi's Summer, right? I think it's the first or second movement, but don't quote me on that. Going to the original is probably your best bet in this case. _________________

Oh, it gets better than that.
For one, they are not remixes, they are movements. Remixes didn't exist when Antonia Vivaldi composed his Four Seasons Symphony
And two, Vorsprung Durch Techno is in fact the Spring movement of the Four Seasons. All we need is a trance version of Autumn and we're set I guess.
(I'm not familiar with Vivaldi's Summer, so I am in fact a bit skeptic that Summer in Belize is a remix, but I'll go and check if that is true.) _________________

Wow! I never knew that we have a remake of Spring, too! If I could get the original version of Autumn, then perhaps I could remix it and make it a happy hardcore remix. (Hardcore Symphony is about to meet its maker!)
EDIT: But wait! I see that there are actually Parts II and III to the Four Seasons movements. I wonder if songs like Hardcore Symphony, High, and Driving Force Classical are based off of those. _________________

Unless I am blatantly wrong as well as the CD I own, each "season" has three movements, and even if each was just one movement, how would it not be a remix?
Frankly, I could do without an Autumn remix.
I think it's either the first or second movement, a few minutes in. The easiest part to recognize is the long 16th note run.
Also, to Hands 'R Us, I'm 90% certain that those aren't Four Seasons remixes. There is a lot of classical/baroque/romantic/lol, internet music out there that wasn't these 12 movements. Not to mention that several of the movements are way too slow and boring to make decent steps to (well, I guess you could get away with it on DDR, but not ITG). _________________
