Many players get good scores on songs by simply playing them over and over again... while there are some, there aren't too many people who simply play a song randomly and get a really good score. While I don't repeat songs myself, I know several people who play songs up to 4 times in a day just to get a good score on it. While it isn't really the best way to improve your accuracy, if you just want a good score you can do this. _________________

Play easier songs to get a better sense of rhythm and learn how to stay consistently inside the fantastic window, then try the harder songs again. |

try Bumblebee, Charlene, and Kiss Me Red!i swear these are the easiest ITG songs to nail a 99% from easy to hard level!because every rhythm is so on beat,in my opinion.
and most of us expert players out there if we need to really bar, then bar!for that 99% and strongly consider the mines and holds and other fixed mods before play.
or you might not need to practice so much to get 99%,maybe it will come to you just automatically!

I decided to move up to Hard/Expert when I 99.xx%'d Utopia Medium. It was random, too. Unfortunately, I am waiting for my next paycheck to buy a USB drive, so no pics for you guys. _________________

It is kinda discouraging but I don't think theres really any trick to it, just keep playing and slowly but surely your scores should generally improve. I remember when I was really happy with my 96's, and when i got my first 97 I was all OMG. Eventually the same thing happened with my first 98, with 96's and 97's fairly common. Now 98's are really common for me, and I get a new 99 here and there. So I'm hoping that this pattern is gonna continue, and 99's will just come naturally like 97's and plenty of 98's are for me now. Like Kaku said as well, if you really want one, you can focus on a specific song for a little bit, and you should get it. It's good to have a nice bunch of 98's before going for the 99 though. If youre just getting your first couple 98's, don't expect the 99 to come so soon or so easily. _________________

I have not recieved a *** on expert yet, but I have a system that has drastically increased my FA so that I honestly believe I'll eventually get there.
It's so simplistic too, set short term goals.
First say to yourself "Hey, should 90% the 9's"
Then try and 93%
THen go for the star *
It is impressive how much your FA increases. I tend to focus my scoring only on 9's, but today I randomly *'d Remember December even though I wasn't really trying to because my FA has improved.
Short term goals....it's a good thing _________________

man.... thats one of my worst 9's right now, i don't even have a 97 on it right now (i could do better...)... I actually remember having a hard time finding the sync.... plus more pivots = more body movement = tougher to FA.... and the minefield at the end is just obnoxious, those are the only mines in the game that I just can't seem to avoid... oh well, maybe i'm just weird. The others you mentioned are fine, MP might be tricky but I don't think its bad..... _________________

You might not like it, but this happens to be my best scoring 9 in the game. I did better on it than the majority of the 7s and 8s, so yeah, this song whores stars. (Boy, I'm lovin' this new smiley!) _________________

Disconnected -Mobius- is pretty easy for me, too. I think I only have a couple **'s on Expert, and I have a 97.97% on Mobius... I hit a mine. _________________
