Is it true that the arrows of an ITG2 Dedicab are less recessed than on an ITG2 upgrade (DDR Machine)?

Absolutely. The arrows on a DDR cabinet are much smaller and more recessed than on a dedicab for ITG.

That's good to hear because I've never had the pleasure of playing on a Dedicab (I have only played on an upgrade, and that was my only time playing Arcade ITG).

indeed, the ITG2 Ded's are very nicely designed, and a lot more fun to play on as well, the screen alone with the PIU light mounts work nicely together

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Dedicabs are WAY better than crapocabs and converts.

apparently our Namco arcade is supposed to get one after the Nationals are over. Thats something im gonna have to see to believe. If we do get one, the staff better take care of it. All our other dancing games go to $hit b/c of horrible upkeep.

BTW, I hear the songs on the Dedicabs are synced incorrectly. Is it Early or Late and is it offsync enough to cause a significant problem during play?

It's very well synched for the most part, if the latest software revision is applied.

Yes, the dedicabs are off sync if they're not patched. With the r5 patch, most of the sync problems were removed. With the newer patch, (r7 I think) I haven't felt any other sync problems.

They're synched differently from boxor upgrades. That's why a lot of NorCal lost in the NAT tournament. NorCal has a lot of the top players and world record holders but they all did poorly at NAT because of the dedicabs.
