The topic pretty much says it all, does a full excellent combo equal an AAA in DDR?
The reason I asked is because i unpacked my itg disk and added some new songs that I normally don't get a chance to play, and I'm wondering what my scores would be like in DDR. |

I play mostly home versions, and I can confidently say that it is easier to get a Great on a DDR home version than a Great on ITG. Which means that if you're comparing the arcade versions, a FEC is quite a bit easier to get than a AAA. _________________

It is USUALLY not true. However, if you SDE a song, you essentially AAA'd.
A better way to say you "AAA'd" something is to FEC *** it. While there is no true perfect comparison, that is a pretty good way to say you AAA'd it. _________________

Note the word essentially. If you have the "skill" to SDE a song, then you have the "skill" to AAA it. And yes, I do play enough dance games to know the timing issues. _________________

Generally speaking, except for the highest and lowest grade, I don't bother comparing DDR and ITG grades mainly because of the difference in letter grades. (7 DDR grades (E,D,C,B,A,AA,AAA) VS ITG's 18 grades(F,D,C-,C,C+,B-,B,B+,A-,A,A+,S-,S,S+,*,**,***,****)) _________________

well i think that a AAA is an FEC because in truth it is a perfect if you look at it in that sense but i dont know the exact tming window but it cant be much worse anyways its funny i still call FECs AAA's though i have ddr in my blood. my blood cells are shaped like arrows i wish.... _________________

An FEC can't be a AAA, because technically an excellent is between a perfect and a great, so you could never hit a perfect if you got an excellent, however you might get really close. I think the more important issue is whether or not a tri-star is a AAA, b/c you can get a miss but still get a tri-star in itg. |

No, the fantastic window in ITG is much smaller than the perfect window in DDR. An excellent in ITG, then, may coincide with either a perfect or a great in DDR, depending on how far it is from the fantastic window. _________________

An SDE probably would considering that you have so few excellents they were most likely closer to perfects than greats. _________________

This isn't always necessarily true, but I'd say that *** usually equals a AAA _________________
