Do you guys think ITG will ditch the 4 panel idea and maybe add another arrow or 1 2 or 5? How many step patterns can you do with just the same old 8 arrows? (doubles) but adding another arrow would be a downside because you would lose the raised surfaces and forget where your feet are but think of all the insain step patterns you could do, i know adding one in the middle could get rid of mines since mines require you to island hop most of the time. if you played DDR or SN solo mode it is a butt load of fun. E13.gif I do hope one day that dance games will evolve into somthing like technomotion, even though i heard that game sucked and there is like only one machine location in the USA I still would like to give it a shot because i think alot of people have been complaining to much about the stepcharts in ITG = / what do you think fellas?

You could just play PIU if you want 5 arrows and a lot of insane patterns.

You can't add TOO many panels, or else the game becomes Stepping 3 Superior.

I think, while mentioning PUMP, it would be cooler and hated a lot less by myself if they had 2 kidns of 5-panel games, Up, Left, Down, Right, Center AND the original UpLeft, UpRght, DownLEft, DownRight, and Center... just my opinion.

The thing is, a center arrow in traditional 4-panel sounds too clustered (to me). The PIU design requires you to move, and quite a lot at that.

i am a HUGE pump fan but this isn't a discussion about pump this is about ITG"s future. I read over at roxors fourms plauge fox said that they "might" take advantage of solo mode 6 panel in the future, I'm just worried people are going to get tired of the 4 panel idea becuase theres just so much more you can do with an extra panel or two, and i would love to see ITG grow this way =)

i would like to see the first idea but not the second one because then you would have to stetch out the diagnol arrows to make them closer togather like pump so you can move quicker

That would be asking for too much, but still I think that a 9-panel dancing game would be cool.

I say no because they have 4 panel (and 8 panel) charts already so if they added another arrow they'd either keep those charts the same (making that new arrow(s) useless) or have to redo all of the charts to fit for the new arrows.

I think ITG is fine as it is. With all the rolls and mines and hand plants, I don't think it needs more panels.

True. Also, I don't think they want to give Konami another reason to sue if they did a solo mode. Plus, It would suck for all us home player with metal pads that only support 4 arrows (CF with Arcade Mod). Unless you want a crap-o-pad like the one in the guys avatar 2 post above me.... No offense

TechnoMotion has 9-panel mode, and16-panel doubles mode IIRC. Google it.

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

TM uses 2468 for DDR, 13579 for pump, or all arrows except 5 for its other mode - i'm fairly sure there isn't a 9-arrow mode, but honestly the 8-panel on one pad thing is just too clustered and stupid already.

There's a techno motion at the arcade I work in. The above posters are right about the different modes only being tradition 4 and 5 panel, and the 8 panel which uses all of them except the center. 8 arrows is dumb (I'm just bitter cuz i can't read it) and the 4 and 5 panel, even on the hardest diffculty, are super easy.

Yeah. We don't want Konami to sue RoXoR. That'd suck.
But still, an ITG 6 panel mode would be AWESOME.

Yeah, more arrows; that sounds like a great idea! Roxor should just totally take a piss on all of the people who paid top dollar on high-quality 4-panel dedicabs by making the revised edition of their product incompatible (or at least not 100% usable) with their shiny new $10,000 machine.

You guys are forgetting one 5 panel game that already exists. Dance Dance Resurection. People actually have working models that are like that.
