|
|
I have noticed that some people just don't understand how to calculate foot speed. A faster BPM DOES NOT necessarily mean faster steps or higher required footspeed. In other words, 32nds at 110BPM are faster than triplets at 290 BPM. (do the math)
Here then, is the accurate list of speeds for 11 and up (There are too many 9's and 10's to rremember them all) Note that gallops such as the 32nds in Utopia won't be counted. There must be at least 3 in a row to require any true footspeed.
*11s*
The Beginning - 16ths at 132BPM (528 Arrows Per Minute)
Charlene - 16ths at 138BPM (552 Arrows Per Minute)
Mythology - 16ths at 138 BPM (552 Arrows Per Minute)
Vertex^2(Hard) - 4ths at 555 BPM (555 BPM) {At least I think}
Robotix - 16ths at 150BPM (600 Arrows Per Minute)
Xuxa - 16ths at 160BPM (640 Arrows Per Minute)
Pandemonium(Hard) - 8ths at 330BPM (660 Arrows Per Minute)
Utopia - 16ths at 166BPM (664 Arrows Per Minute)
Infection - 16ths at 170 BPM (680 Arrows Per Minute)
July - 16ths at 170BPM (680 Arrows Per Minute)
Hardcore Symphony - 16ths at 174BPM (696 Arrows Per Minute)
Destiny - 16ths at 174BPM (696Arrows Per Minute)
Clockwerk Genesis - 16ths at 175BPM (700Arrows Per Minute)
Monolith - 16ths at 196BPM (784 Arrows Per Minute)
*12s*
Energizer - 8ths at 303BPM (606 Arrows Per Minute)
Bloodrush - 32nds at 79BPM (632 Arrows Per Minute)
Go 60's Go - 16ths at 160BPM (640 BPM)
Delirium - 16ths at 163BPM (652 Arrows Per minute)
Tell - 16ths at 163BPM (652 Arrows Per Minute)
Determinator - 24ths at 147BPM (882 Arrows Per Minute)
! - 24ths at 155BPM (930 Arrows Per Minute)
Vertex - 16ths at 250BPM (1000 Arrows Per Minute)
Hardcore of the North - 24hs at 169BPM (1014 Arrows Per Minute)
Euphoria - 64ths at 70BPM (1120 Arrows Per Minute)
*13s*
Pandemonium - 8ths at 330BPM (660 Arrows Per Minute)
Summer - 16ths at 185BPM (740 Arrows Per Minute)
Vertex^2 - Random crap at I don't know exactly what BPM due to speed changes........(Really fast, just gotta believe me)
Sorry about Vertex^2. The rest are accurate....in a way. While all these statistics are true, they can be misleading. ! technically has faster steps than Determinator, but Determinator's speedy streams are very long for the speed you're expected to go. _________________

You have to be sure to factor in jackhammers, step-step-jumps (PANDAMONIUM!), and candle steps. Those increase the effort involved with increasing your foot speed. _________________

You cant really say vertex has 16th notes at 250 bpm. That song has 4 16th notes not counting when it is slow. _________________

Don't forget the 3 32nds (i believe, i forget since i haven't played it in forever) in Tension...32nds at 180 are silly (even though that is pretty gimmicky at that part heh) _________________

Incorrect. when a song has a red-green-blue cluster, it's considered "three 16th notes.". A quarter note is only a quarter note when there is no other note after it until exactly 1 beat, 8th note a half a beat, 16th a quarter of a beat, etc....
To put it into a bigger perspective, by your logic Destiny begins with a run of "24 sixteenth notes" which is incorrect. It is a run of 65 sixteenth notes. The color of the notes does not determine whether they are quarter notes, eigth notes, sixteenths, etc.... but their relation to the beat. A red can be considered a 16th just as a green can. Triplet divisions complicate things a bit but i wont get into that. Capiche? _________________

Even if he were only counting yellow notes he'd still be wrong. _________________

Counting yellows in the 250 section yields 9. _________________

Haha, I was tired when I made my last post. I meant 8. I dont know why I said 3. I suck at typing.
But yeah, thats the only time 16th notes come up. Except for the slow part, where the bpm is like 120 or something.
And, you guys are aware that 16th notes are yellow, not green?
EDIT: Where did you get 9? _________________

they were green on ITG 1, which is what I play the most by far, so I'm not used to seeing them as yellow. doesn't matter. _________________

"VerTex^2" expert:
Most of the song: 16ths at 140bpm/8ths at 280 to 8ths at 351bpm (560 to 702 steps per minute; ~9.33 to 11.7 steps per second)
Smatterings: 16ths at 280bpm (1120 steps per minute; ~18.67 steps per second)
Hands: 32nds at 88bpm (704 steps per minute; ~11.73 steps per second)
That hellish part after the hands: 16ths and 24ths at 175bpm (700 to 1050 steps per minute; ~11.67 to 17.5 steps per second), mostly drills, though
Many of the fastest ITG songs are tens.
"Tension": 32nds at 180bpm (1440 steps per minute; 24 steps per second)
"Bend Your Mind": 32nds at 140bpm (1120 steps per minute; ~18.67 steps per second)
"Do U Love Me?": 32nds at 133bpm (1064 steps per minute; ~17.73 steps per second)
"Anubis": 32nds at 110bpm (880 steps per minute; ~14.67 steps per second)
"Bouff": 16ths at 200bpm (800 steps per minute; ~13.33 steps per second)
"Disconnected -Hyper-": 16ths at 195bpm (780 steps per minute; 13 steps per second)
"Remember December": 16ths at 192bpm (768 steps per minute; 12.8 steps per second)
"Hybrid": 16ths at 185bpm (740 steps per minute; ~12.33 steps per second)
"Hand of Time": 16ths at 184bpm (736 steps per minute; ~12.27 steps per second)
Of those, only "Disconnected -Hyper-", "Remember December", and "Hand of Time" have what could be called mini-runs (each has a non-drill stream of 9 steps somewhere). Most elevens are slower, but have longer runs. _________________

If I recall correctly, didn't summer speedy mix have one triple burst of 32nds? _________________

I think that is just a pair, a 32nd + a 1/4 note at measure 17 or so... _________________

Yes, it's just a gallop, and gallops don't affect footspeed anymore than a jump does if you think about so I won't count it. _________________
