Hello again guys and gals. I am by no means a bar rapist I completly suck 10X more. It actually hurts my score more and slows me down if I use it so I was wondering if there are any people out there like me and what there highest scores are. I am sorry I dont have any pics but ill post em anyway
No Bars
Bend your mind 87.35% (On Hard doubles)
Da Roots 90.85% expert
R0meo and Juli8 89.20% expert
pandemonium (On Medium) 76.12%
xuxa 78.00% (On Hard)
well I know these scores suck to ALOT of you but I have only been playing for alittle over four months now. I would love to hear from all of you guys. You too Søren Kierkegaard
Cheers! |

In the arcade, I do not know, because I always use the bar. At home though, where I spend nearly all my time playing due to lack of funds, it's a bit easier for me to play in general compared to the arcade, and i don't really have a good chair i can use so all of my current home scores are without it. They're all in my groovestats link. Here's some of my personal favorite scores...
Bend Your Mind Ex. - 97.85
Kiss Me Red Ex. - 99.06
Charlene Ex. - 96.20
Disconnected Hyper Ex. - 91.50
Anubis Ex. - 95.80
Flying High Ex. - 98.61
Zodiac - 97.54
Oasis - 95.12
ROM-eo & Juli8 - 98.72
I use the balls on my feet for Bend Your Mind... actually, considering my pad and lack of a good chair to use, when I'm at home i pretty much use the balls of my feet for everything. I try to flatfoot as much as I can in the arcade though. _________________

The only charts on ITGPS2 I haven't passed no bar on single are all 12+ songs except for VerTex. Also, Pandemonium Hard, but I should have that soon.
On Double I have Delirium, Pandemonium and VerTex Expert left to pass no bar, and I've gotten close to Delirium a million times.

thanks , i was never a fan bar-rape in ddr, and i can still do all the max's without a bar. It's a little more necessary on the ITG arcade |

I don't see any particular reason not to use the bar on any particular song so I couldn't tell you. I SDE'd Da Roots without it, like 99.64% or something, and I can pass HOTN without it; but why would I? _________________

some people like it some don't.
I personally dont like to use it, especially on twisting flowing patterns where it takes the purpose and fun out of it.

Personally, I find it more fun to actually do well on those songs then to stop using the bar so I can run around. I do Le Parkour for running and spinning. _________________

I've done Queen of Light 96.03%, Fleadh Uncut 93.xx%, and VerTex 87.xx% no bar. Not as impressive as some other scores, but still. *shrug* I play with the bar regularly on some 10s and all 11+s. |

That is DAMN impressive man, I have NEVER seen a video of Summer without the guy using the bar.
I almost never use the bar and I never do at home which is 99% of my play. I can pass Tell, Vertex, and Delirium without bar as well as Disconnected -Hyper- and Tension which seem to be barlike songs. Oo! and Pandemonium Hard. While I could probably beat Go 60's Go and ! without bar, I've never tried because I use the bar on all 12's WHEN I'M IN THE ARCADE and I can't play them on home versions yet. It's kind of funny, I don't need the bar for songs like Delirium at home and yet I use it in the arcade. Does anyone find that funny? _________________

Nah, for me it is much easier to play at home. Stamina-wise and everything. No shoes = more stamina. Pad arrows at home are a bit easier to hit as well. That's why i don't use a chair/bar at home, because i try to "even it out" a bit.... so i'm not totally disappointed when i get that rare chance to go to the arcade. _________________

I have to use the bar for everything. I'll use the bar for novice mode even.
When I suck however, I'll just stop trying and not hold the bar anymore because I'm not trying to score. Thus, I'll "bracket-rape." The hardest song I've bracket-raped is a 9. _________________

I haven't played ITG at the arcade yet, so all of my scores are based on the home version of ITG. (Groovestats Link). As I noted in Groovestats, I never use a bar nor a chair while playing. With that said, here are my best scores w/o a bar:
Tribal Style Ex.- 98.19 (Got the record today actually )
Delirium Ex.- 87.67 (an old record, btw)
Hardcore of the North Ex.- 84.17 (don't laugh, I am still working at this )
Yeah, so check out my Groovestats. _________________
