Yeah, when I play doubles, it does feel like I'm dancing more or something.
To me, doubles isn't really that tiring, it just hurts my legs if you have to do the stretch steps.
I love when you have to like, twist your body to hit the arrows and stuff.
I don't know, just seems cool to me. =p

That's about right. It's actually $2.20 for 3 songs where I go.

That's insane.
And why the odd number?
I don't know, if it was me, I wouldn't pay for it.
I'd just play marathons all the time. \=

its prolly a nickel nickel and yea, if a machine gets upgraded to R8, it'll have the doubles premium effect (one credit= doubles play =D)..like 3 of them here in the So Cal area.

We have that here.
I'm really the only one who plays on doubles regularly.
Everyone else is obsessed with passings 11s and 12s on singles.
I'm happy with a 9 on doubles. ;p

I don't play because I can't (physically) - so I have no opinion.

Jes! In my opinon, if you pay more than a quarter a song, its a rip off. Well, if it's ITG2 then 1.00 for 3 songs is fine erm.gif

I tried explaining a manager of an arcade about this. I told him that ridiculously jacking up the price of the DDR machine (yes it was DDR, but its really similar) and not giving doubles premium would actually make you LOSE money. He said that he had to keep it at that price or he'd never pay it off.

Bull.

Almost no one plays there. It's $1.25 for 3 songs no doubles premium on DDR Extreme. That's just plain gay. And like I predicted, no DDR players play there since its too much money.

The ITG machine I play is $1 with doubles, but this weekend event mode was turned on for some odd reason. Haxxor. Free tries at Bloodrush without feeling like your wasting money! (cuz you aren't lol)

Well I'm basically forced to go there if I want to play ITG. It's the only machine within 70 miles of my house.

It's an odd number because they use cards. You put your money into a machine and you get a card with points on it. Each machine has a scanner that reads the card and removes points for playing. So they get to charge any odd number they feel like.

I can't run; I've tried. I had the fastest time on my baseball team from first to second and the slowest time around the bases. No long range stamina, just ask Chris Barrett.

I can play Pandemonium and Summer by not moving at all (seriously, watch me play them); if I actually have to move around I can't do it.

Ah, the ol' card trick.

I think the reason I'm better at doubles is because I don't really have to put effort into it.
It's just twisting your waist in weird ways and trying not to fall over.
On singles I move around too much.
I've been watching other people play and noticed that they only move from their waist down.
I just flatout flail around and I can't help it. :c

I'm working on getting more premium options for double, in addition to DP being on by default. It's unfortunate a lot of the early ITG2 machines shipped with DP off (which wasn't intended), but it seems at least a couple have the option on now.

If you have any comments on double feel free to post here:

It's so creepy when staff posts on these forums, it reminds you that they're people instead of robots with signatures making your stepcharts and such.

Nice job on Mythology by the way, love that chart. DP by default would also completely rock.

Yeah man, it IS weird to have them post here.

I think that DP shouldn't cost any more then singles.
It's still one person playing, but it's a little more advanced I guess you could say.
Same amount of songs too..
I don't know if you can control that, or if it's the arcades job to fix that.
I barely know anything about the machines, I just play. ;p

DDR doubles make a lot more sense and I can beat Max300 doubles and the like.
MAX 300 double heavy is an awful chart. blink.gif

Anyway, I didn't really like most ITG1 double expert charts, with a few exceptions (Kagami!!!!!!!!), but I like some of the ITG2 double charts. Know Your Enemy double expert is an awesome chart.

Anyway, my best double scores:
Habanera 1, 95.50%
Reactor, 95.33%

I also have a 95.something on Disconnected Disco double expert, but I didn't have my card at the time, so no screenshot. frown.gif
