I am a DDR freak, of course, but my friend says that he thinks ITG is better. I highly disagree because DDR has better songs and it's more realistic. DDR steps actually go to the beat of the song, while ITG goes with the melody. If you were dancing around in public, you'd think you'd be dancing to the beat, not to every single note.(Thus why DDR is more realistic.) ITG may have harder songs, but for me, I get bored of it easily while DDR keeps me occupied with songs that are simply better and that make you want to buy soundtracks of them.

Give me your opinion of which you prefer: DDR or ITG

Truthfully, I like both. In my opinion...

DDR has better unmodded stepcharts, that is, I can find enjoyable step charts at the Heavy level (8-9 foot single/7-8 foot double) that are actually fun to step, even if they aren't the hardest possible steps. For example, I really enjoy playing Frozen Ray Heavy Double (8 foot) even if I end up missing a few steps and ending up with a "B", just because the steps do flow quite well with the music.

ITG has longer songs and I like a lot of the techno and trance style music in the game. I've also started to experiment with Easy and Medium songs with mods to add variety and challenge to the easier steps. That said, I generally don't play Expert mode because, sure, the steps are very hard, but I don't really find anything enjoyable in extended runs. hopping over mines, or forced stretch jumps when hands are included. So, for ITG, I usually stick with Hard mode, no higher than level 8 for the present time.

So um, is it bad that awhile ago I was watching Family Guy, and when Quagmire came on, I thought something to the effect of "Whoa, It's AA Bob!" (I don't remember if the exact thought was "It's AA Bob" or "It's AA Bob's avatar", but I don't think it matters in this case)?

Hey, um, wouldn't the very forum/s you post in determine your preference?

I see what you mean on the beat and melody part. I like steppin to "Uhn TISS Uhn TISS Uhn TISS" rather than "da da da la dla dald la le falwef j" .....if that makes any sense...but hey, both DDR and ITG ØWN, so why must there be a competition? They both have their ups and downs that keep them at about an equal level

WOOT

(I wonder when I'll be able to post more than twice a day riiight.gif )
